  1. A friend of mine has a kid that swallowed a penny. They freaked out and went to the ER. When they took the Xray, they saw the kid had enough change in his gut for all of them to go to the coke machine. True story.
  2. Go ahead and get a Dagored. I think the US version is a Mikey. It is a great sub surface lure and we tore the up on Guntersville this past fall.
  3. I'll wind on about a 1/4 spool and then spray it good. Then spray it again at 1/2, 3/4 and full. I also spray it on after a fishing trip and if I can remember, give it a shot the night before a trip.
  4. If your hands were cramping up from only 2 turns per minute, no reel is gonna help. My cranking reel is a 6.3. Slow to me is about 1 turn per second, sometimes it's about 3 turns per second.
  5. My gift left out this morning.
  6. They are headquartered in Guntown, MS but are built somewhere in AR. I've held several of them and there is no way to logically compare them to a Ugly Stick or Rhino. They are great rods and will be what I buy next.
  7. Neither will a semi auto if you put it in a WalMart bag when you shoot! I learned this by watching American Gangster on TV.
  8. It's the wind. I studied this at my pond and it seems like it is a scaled down "tornado" that does it.
  9. Don't forget the Smokin' Rooster!
  10. I've found that I have to be as quiet as possible, walking only when needed. The ponds I fish are small, up to four acres and down to about a half acre. When I sneak up to a place to fish, I will stand there for 15~20 minutes to let things calm down.I do make lots of noise when a cottonmouth crawls across my feet, though. I guess if the place has a lot of activity around it, that technique would work. My places are in the middle of nowhere and they don't see much activity.
  11. I use both. It helps to spread out the work so that one arm doesn't wear out. However, I've had days where I use one more than the other.
  12. It looks like something bit it. Looking at the way the marks aren't parallel, I'd rule out a prop. Do you have any gators up there?
  13. Money! All of the money I make goes into our house. We're hoping to have it paid off in 8 years. We are debt free other than that. I do work on the side, fixing things that others can't (motorcycles). They bring them to me as a last resort most of the time and I pretty much charge what I want. This extra money is what I use to buy fishing toys. I have enough saved up for a 10' Bass Hunter and trolling motor, I just haven't pulled the trigger.
  14. Hammer Rods also has a spiral wrapped rod. I've been wanting to try one as their right down the road from me. As a bonus, they're 100% made in the US.
  15. A 3.5" Grass Pig in pearl white, on a 2/0 Mustad 1/16 weighted hook. It's like cheating.
  16. TW had them. I got mine from them a couple of weeks ago.
  17. Got mine in last week. I had good luck with the worm. I haven't used the DB's yet, maybe this weekend.
  18. I might have to save up for one of those. I think it would look good on my Core51 with ZPI knobs.
  19. In the sub $100 reel class, look no further than a BPS Pro Qualifier. They're even better when you catch then on sale for $80. If you have to shop at Dicks, a Citica would be about the only choice if it were on sale. Good luck on your endeavors. My money was limited one time. Now I'm a little better off.
  20. I use the Owner twist lock in a 5/0 and never had any problems. I'm hooked on these.
  21. I have mine on a Falcon T7 micro Finesse Jig. An absolute joy to fish.
  22. And you should be! They are nice.
  23. Where'd you get them from, Maico?
