This is the one I use too. I couldn't be happier with it. I haven't had any trouble with it in the rain and it worked perfectly when it needed to. Plus, it's very comfortable to wear all day.

I've never tried a blade bait with feathers but those look good.

For 2015. In 2016 they will be gone all together.

Sunline Super is the only one I would recommend.

Don't count out moving baits just yet. I catch a lot of fish on shallow cranks and lipless cranks this time of year.

I'll hit Academy, Bass Pro, Dick's, Gander, Cabela's and local mom and pop places. I'm pretty lucky to have all the major stores close by. I mostly shop TW online.

It's $800 an event for co-anglers to fish the FLW tour. Next year is the last year there will be co-anglers on the main tour though.

I also pitch from a seated position on my kayak. I have an elevated seat too but I'm still just above water level. I'm not as great at it as I would like to be but getting better with practice.

This bait is more like a spoon or a slab. Should be a good cold water bait. I am very curious to see how they fish, haven't bought one yet though.

I use Owner, Mustad and Gammy. Different hooks for different baits.

I think different people just look for different things out of their gear. Some want the best money can buy, while others want something that will be durable and generally a good value. Most of us probably end up somewhere in the middle. Nothing wrong with any mindset, so long as you enjoy what you're doing.

Very interesting bait. Imakatsu makes top notch stuff, these kind of blow the doors off of those Tightlines UV Whisker baits.

Nobody is upset about anything. This is a bass fishing enthusiast site and for most of us, bass fishing is our main hobby. Most of us like to use the best gear we can afford, it has nothing to do with whether or not we could get by with less. Ugly Stik's don't get much love here because not many of us use them, it doesn't mean we give a flip if you do.

Unless I'm trying to get maximum depth out of a crankbait, I don't worry too much about distance. I'm way more concerned with accuracy and being able to get a solid hook set.

Just to clarify, the article on *** wasn't about the Chatterbait, it was about the new SK Naked Rage Blade and Rage Minnow combo. It comes without a skirt and has clear lip, it's meant to be fished without a skirt. The Rage Minnow is the recommended trailer. Fishing a Chatterbait without a skirt is certainly effective but the Naked Rage Blade is designed to be fished skirtless with that specific trailer and has a much different design than a Chatterbait.

The Citrix is a nice little reel but the knobs are terrible. I would contact Okuma and see if you can buy Helios or Komodo knobs, or possibly a whole handle assembly. You will have to see if the knobs on your Citrix are removable or not. If they aren't, you will need to buy a whole handle assembly.

Good point. Most gear tracks on kayaks are on the sides but I'm sure something could be rigged up pretty easily.

One thing to keep in mind is you will need to be able to reach the transducer arm when you get in really shallow water to prevent damage. The transducer has to be at, or below the bottom of the boat for the si to get a clear view.

The Dream Reamers are a little pricey but they are worth every penny. I bought the set and use every size.

I thought about getting one of those but my local shop didn't have any and I didn't want to wait. Ram makes good products and that is probably more versatile than the Liberator arms.

I have the transducer for my HB 798 mounted on a Mad Frog Liberator Arm. It is in front of me but at arms length, so pretty much middle of the kayak. I don't have any trouble with disturbance from paddling or any issue with readings. I made a little plate out of a plastic cutting board and have my Ram Mount and Liberator Arm mounted to it. The whole set up slides in my track system so I can take it on and off easily. I don't have any pictures but I can take a couple tomorrow if you want to see. Edit: I see that you said centerline. Mine is close to center length wise but off to one side of the boat.
