This is the box I throw in the kayak, where space is at a premium. Most of these jigs are homemade and are a small fraction of all the jigs I have.

It is with the oval split ring, I put them on every hard bait that comes with a split ring. I'm less likely to change hooks initially with jerkbaits for fear of messing up the suspension.

I tie direct to an oval split ring 100% of the time. As soon as I take a bait out of the package I put an oval split ring on and change the hooks, if necessary.

Have to agree with the gift cards. If the people buying the gifts don't fish, they aren't going to know what to buy.

Not always the case. Some reels have magnesium frames, which aren't recommended for salt water fishing.

Very cool installment! I would recommend going with very heavy fluoro if you want clear. I'm thinking 80-100 lb. Even that will eventually stretch some though I imagine. The braid would be your best no stretch option.
