I've been strictly a Chevy buyer for over 20 years. That being said the last 2 I bought are total pos's. My 1999 S-10 has been junk since the day I bought it. Unacceptable engineering on several accounts; sagging doors at 40k, heater blower motor issues x 3 or more. My future son in law has same truck and same problems. The 2001 Malibu has been total crap. It eats brake pads for dinner, numerous electronic problems, air conditionaing etc etc. I will never buy Chevy again I'm done. For my money I'm going with Honda and Toyota. The re-sale is out of this world on those often very close to price of new. This make the overall cost very low compared to the US brands. just my .02

Trout, Not sure how to put this but based on your opening post on this subject I just wanted to compliment you. For such a youngster you are very well spoken, you also responded with dignity to a tough situation. You led by example in trying to get the administration to right an injustice. In short nice job to you young man. You, your family and teachers as well can be proud. You should do well iin life keep up the good work.

Yes & No First I have NO experience with these lures. From a generic point of view yes they are over priced. Any lure over $5 - $6 is too expensive in my book. More than that is just too much out of the budget for 1 lure. I'm not saying I'm the lure god this is just my opinion as it relates to why I fish.

Sorry about the bad guess on the teams. I thought when someone left LsU they hired someone else who had falsified their resume. I must have the wrong team. Got lucky? As I remember, Alabama used to have a football program, too. No doubt the SEC is a premier conference, but over the years other programs have been just as strong (Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas). Sports dominance comes in cycles, enjoy yours while it lasts. 8-) RW makes a very good point about the cycles. Wasn't there ( I'm not positive ) a coaching hire then unhire at LSU? It will take a while with an existing well stocked team but things could perhaps change fairly quick in a situation like that. Probably not in this case but things can change fast.

It was pretty cool when Major league baseball used Sinatra's Summer Winds for its world series theme a while back. Sinatra and Dean Martin have 2 of the top 10 voices of all time in my book.

You can get brand new Pflueger President spinnings in that price range. You can get Gander Mtn GST spinnings which are very close to a Pflueger Medalist for $25 or less, sometimes used sometimes new on E-bay You might want to look for used on the Bass Resource forums in this price range Somone mentioned the older C Cardinal &00 ? series once as great for the value but they are getting harder to find. The newer Cardinal 300 (?) series seem nice but I haven't seen any reviews on these to know the quality.

Iz my friend I did miss that. I put lol to be on the safe side because I knew you well enough to know you were funnin in some way or other. I did miss a golden opportunity though. There are 2 BPS's in Chicago. One of them is right by a Cabela's. I've never been in a Cabela's. I should have made time to go. Oh well, going back to same place in about a month. I'll go then after saving up a little cash.

Muddy you've been on a fired up roll lately??? LOL I hope they don't discontinue the President BC that was the reel I wanted but they put the Suppreme on sale for the Pres list price so I bought one. As far as the Mitchell's I hear the older ones were great but I bought a nerwer black 308 a few years back and after 4 returns I finaly got a decent one ( a no receipt long story deal). The new ones look decent but for the price range I'd go with a President anyday. As far as the $60-$80 reels quit putting words in people's mouth's. I just posted genericaly to cover say Rhino's or something. Actualy I agree with you 100% on the Extreme's. I handled one while in Chicago last week and I thought they were smooth as silk. For the price I thought they were awesome! I love the look they are a sharp looking reel as well! I knew the Citica violated the $100. For $20 more brand new or less than $100 used or even on the Flea market for < $100 I think it needs to be considered. In short with 2 kids in college, 2 young ones and the very sick older one I'm in the same budget as you for a long time to come.

Hot off the press Baitcaster Pflueger President $99 @ Bass Pro Shops Muddy I know its more than $100 but for new, the extra $20 spent on a Shimano Citica would be worth it vs junk at say $60 or 80 Spinning Via E-bay Gander Mountain USED Pflueger Medalist knock offs for $25 or less Pflueger Medalist $79 or way less new Shimano Symetre $79 or less Newer Cardinal series ( no experience with these but they look sweet ) PS based on past personal experience I'd avoid the Mitchel's completely. In their price range you can do much much better

When I first read the tittle I thought FFI, LBH and Muddy were going to have to dust off the old blue suits with the pretty brass buttons! Is it just me or did anyone happen to notice that the obese group only had 1 poss 2 states that were associated with being stuck indoors in the winter? All but one of the " normal weight " states was a heavy winter state except one. That seems 180 deg's backwards compared to what you'd think would be a theory ??????hmmmmm
