They always say that we release criminals early because we don't have room in the prisons to keep them. The reason we don't have room is that it is too expensive. What is the " real cost " of letting them out though? The revolving door of more crimes, more lawyers, judges, policeman, hospitals and doctors because of the crimes. Also the price of insurance, damage to property, stolen goods on and on. Why doesn't a state or the feds fund a study using a college or colleges and calculate the cost of all the re-peats as a result of letting the criminal out early. Maybe do the study based on one state rather than the whole country to keep it simple. Heck we fund studies for Owl droppings why not study something really important? I'd bet that cost is many times over what it would cost to keep them locked up. Then go to a 3 strikes and out deal for certain severity and higher crimes, The 1st offense is 5-7 yrs, the 2nd is 25yrs and NO getting out early. If the person was 25 on last offense then they get out at 55 and are much less harmful than when they went in. For the 3rd offense you are done you are a life 'er. Use the money we were originaly saving and really put the teeth and money into rehabilitation. Teach, educate and train them on conduct how to live life and make them a desirable person to hire when they are out. Just my ranting and raving but courious of your thoughts

W1-10 You mention something like " because of the choices I've made". Those aren't choices you made. You did what all of us have done which is do something to support your family. You picked a highly needed very respectful way to make a living. It's easy for me to say I know but don't beat yourself up. Maybe try looking at things from the opposite angle. You are in a very tough job and have to do some "tough" things. Some of the thugs you encounter would do some very bad things to a lot of people so in reality you are helping many people not hurting anyone. Those same thugs would harm many people or worse & or maybe be selling drugs to your firend or relative had you not "solved a problem". The world is a better place because of you. You owe it to yourself and your family to enjoy life that is why god put you here so sit back and smell the roses a little. In tribute to the organizations founding member being Italian, I came up with a recipe for the occasion I call it " 2 Mooks Pasta " Here's the recipe 1 small bag of 3 cheese Tortelini 2 bags ( normal narrowish sixe ones ) of frozen vegetables - one bag was stir fry so had some water chestnuts Green & Red peppers. I think between the 2 bags they had carrots, big pieces of onion ( maybe sweet), snap peas maybe? broccoli, squash and maybe Zuchini this was a ton of vegetables don't think it matters buy what vegetables you like but I think the squash helps on flavor? I used a package of 5 of Mild Italian sausage links I cooked completely then sliced Parmesan cheese to taste ( nothing special just out generic table variety I suggest cooking links first and slicing, then return to its pan and keep as hot as you can w/o over cooking cook veggies in micro and keep them very warm to hot last or during veggie cook I would cook pasta in big pan for making spaghetti or potatoes and drain, then immediately return to its pan, add sausage and veggies and mix then add oregano and basil couple of decent size pinches of ea ? ( or generic italian seasoning to mix) next add EV olive oil just enough until you get the consistency you like ? I probably used 3 or 4 good splashes ( prob too much but it tasted good ) Last season with parmesan ( no specific amount just wing it ) Ps this made a ton of food so maybe make half of pasta and one bag? If you try it out let me know what you think My wife thought it was maybe 2nd or 3rd best thing she's ever eaten. Then again anything I cook she doesn't have to so they automaticaly score points

My Gander Mountain still has some of last years St Croix Avids on sale for $95. Maybe the best rod if still avialable in your price range. Also I have a Fenwick HMG and I like it as well. I got mine at a local closeout a couple of months back for $59 I don't think you can go wrong with All star either from what I've read on this forum

I've caught catfish several times on spinnerbaits usualy crappie type spinner and onece on a beetle spin. I've also caught them on swimbaits quite a bit A couple of months back I caught right in a row a crappie, a small bass and a 2.5 lb catfish on a 1/8oz crappie spinner

Depending on where I fish Gar, Carp, and what we used to call perch ( drum everywhere else ) Catfish ( aka the officially sanctioned fish of rednecks ) are a pain in the but to mess with and just not that much fun to catch they do have some weight so sometimes ok

In IL warm power plant usualy means NUCLEAR thus lots of hot water to cool the nukes. Night fishing is like taking candy from a baby as all the fish glow in the dark! LOL PS I've got 2 or 3 within an hours drive of me and I've never fished any of them yet Dummy me and I complain about lask of winter fishing go figure Bank fishing requires a toboggan though! LOL

Hey Tony sometimes depending on the circumstances I do honestly just enjoy the day. Easier on those beautiful perfect weather days. Or those last minute beutiful autumn days. Sometimes I have to tell myself more so than others. It can just be so relaxing to kick back, throw a bobber on put the feet up have a beer or soda and listen to Cubs game or football or just cruise around on slow and stop and look. I need to do this more often. Gotta admit catching a bunch of fish is best though! Mainly just created the post because as much as I love fishing I can't quite think that I'd ever get burned out. Maybe if never catch fish but I'd just go less often probably.

Not sure if I ever heard it or not so not sure if the media generated any mis-info for me. I always "envisioned" that "tracking" cookie meant one retailer could "track" what other websites you go to. Just my personal preference but none of any sites business ( if even possible) to know what web-page I go to next. EX. When I go to my Al Qaida support group web- site ( just kidding on this ) after filing my tax return I don't want government or anyone else to be able to "track" where I go ( don't even know if even possible for them to do that, sure they could find a way anyway ). If I wanted to visit a risque site ( which I'm not saying I do! LOL) after Cabelas then none of their business ( hypothetical siuation only of course! ) As part of my spyware package it recommends deleting cookies so I have it do it once or twice a week. Just like to keep my machine clean as it gets slow once in a while and fig'd it doesn't hurt to "clean" it.

Maybe their thinking is that women are the stand in line types and or women by in-large don't by gear so why bother? In this world of make a sale at all costs that they would look to attract the male shoppers.
