My dad use to say “ I bought this lure to catch fish on it, or lose it trying to catch them” and “ It’s not going to catch fish in my tackle box”. I try to remember that when I’m fishing.

Haha yep when you put it like that it’s a lot for 3 mph. I’ve got a 15ft polar kraft, mod-v with a 4-stoke 25hp. I was going to upgrade to bigger motor, but I love how little fuel it uses. And the speed is not bad, 28 mph flat out with just me, fuel and minimal gear.

I had braid on my one of my rigs once, a Baitcaster, braid dug in so bad it would backlash. I let out the line behind the boat and respooled it so to speak, still the same thing. Same line was on an another reels, no problems. I finally put mono back on it and haven’t had an issue. I’m not a fan of braid, it’s a personal thing…. Can’t stand the noise. I’ve changed everything back to mono, but two rigs. My pitching rig and my dock rig.

I have a couple one knocker lipless cranks that catch fish when a same color Bill Lewis won’t ….. Go figure. Your right cdn angler, I think some of my cheap lipless don’t wobble enough to rattle. I’ve go some I can hear the last few feet of retrieval. But I think just because I can’t hear it doesn’t mean it’s not.
