I did get a new reel, another BPS Carbonlite…….I really like theses reels for the money. It was a limited edition lefty on sale… couldn’t resist. Not that I care about limited edition but the lefty and on sale, got me.

I totally understand…..I love fishing, the tackle and everything about it. Trying the read the shore line, casting in that perfect spot, the rigging of different baits, all of it. I love fishing……catching is just the bonus.

So sorry to hear that. This is something you don’t need on top of everything else.

I live on the St John’s River, it flooded here, never really went down from Ian, so the ground was already saturated. The wind for a while was 90 degrees to the dock worst case scenario ya could get, and broke a couple dock lines. That was not fun trying to fix that in the storm. We have a major cleanup to do but no real damage.

I carry a leatherman skeletool for my every day carry. I’m lost without it, got me me out of a few tight spots more than once. I keep a spare in case I lose too.

Aside from lrgmouthshad lengthy review…... you have to admit. He’s right, when you’ve got that rig that is just fun to fish! I mean cast here, there, over there…..this way, that way. Short cast, long cast and it just works.

I wouldn’t feel bad Mobasser, every time I pull away from the dock, I say. ”Ok, let’s go catch the next big one” . Well it doesn’t always happen, actually it only happens once in a while, maybe less than that.

Great pics, and some nice fish too.

About 50/50 for me overall… I’ll go out use nothing but bait casters for a few outings then the same for spinning rigs.
