  8. Hi from the Sunshine State of Fl….. nice catch!
  9. I go back to the basics Texas rigged, weightless or as little as I can get away with, Bass pro’s 7” ribbon tail in watermelon pearl or Junebug, in garlic scent. I start working the shore line, going slow, in and around any cover I can find. Even if I don’t see the cover, I’ll throw about 10-15 feet apart moving along the shore, sometimes I’ll feel the cover under water. I usually catch something, just trying to keep the skunk away.
  10. Congrats… still waiting in my double digit.
  11. Well…. Didn’t hear from anybody, so I ordered some. I guess I’ll have to tell everyone about them when they arrive on Friday… I’ll try to go out this weekend and give them a try, got family coming in for the holiday weekend. It’s probably going to be a madhouse, out on the water, this weekend. Might wait until next. I’ll try them out and give ya, for what’s it worth, my opinion. ok my order came in…. Haven’t fished them just went out to the dock and tried them. the one on the left is a chatter bait original.( got it at yard sale) The other one is a madbite, a Kastking bladed jig bait, got them on Amazon $16.99. The hook on the chatter bait was better, wider gap and heavier gauge. Skirt was better too. With all that said ….the madbait had a wider wobble which I could work slower than the Chatter bait,t he action really worked the trailer I had on it. Use the same one on both, part of a Bass Pro, ribbon tail worm that I recycle for trailers. Madbaite has clip one the jig eye, says you can change blades, but I couldn’t do …at least not with out pliers. I’m probably not the best person to give any kind of review on a bladed jigs…..I really don’t have any experience with them and never went out and tried to whole heartedly fished them ether. I’m going to go out first chance I get and give them real try. At $16.99 for 5 it’s a better price than for a chatter bait. I don’t regret buying them, just hope I catch something. Anyway that’s my report..hope it helps somebody else make up their mind.
  12. My wife asked me once, “How come your rods all seem to match your reels? Why does everything in your boat looks like it goes together? Even your life vest looks like it was made with the interior of your boat. Why can’t you put on pants and shirt that match? She even asked once why my fishing gear and boat was always neat and in order, but couldn’t fold my clothes and put them away with out wadding them up. So be careful if the when your women folk start to notice you really have an eye for fashion…. It might be only for fishing gear but it makes them go “Hmmmmm….”
  13. I drive by and scoop stuff up, carry back all the time. Once I picked a crap load of beer cans left on a area where boaters beach and party. Thought on my way back “I’m gonna explaining to do”if they stop me. Over a 12 pack of bear cans in the bottom of my boat. It would’ve been just as easy for the people that brought them to take them back with them.
  14. I have never done well with spinner bait, but I think I’ll take everything here and give them another shot.

  24. Bass Pro Shops 35AUTO Auto-Inflatable Life Vest 3.9 out of 5 stars. Read reviews for average rating value is 3.9 of 5. Read 18 Reviews Same page link. 3.9 (18) Write a review $69.97 Bass pro has this one,it’s the one I have now, I started wearing one full time a few years ago. I fish by myself 90% of the time. Used to only wear it when the motor was running, but now all the time. I’m saving up for a mustang with the hydrostatic, I’ll fish in the rain, as long as no lighting. I’ll keep my Bass pro for guest.
