  1. I have owned Ranger boats since 1974 & I would not pay anywhere near that price for that rig.

  3. I use the non ethanol fuel. It cost a little more & is readily available around here.
  4. I have fished them around docks. As was said they will glide but I did not get bit. I finally changed to a weightless Senko & caught a few. I will try them again in the spring.
  5. I am left-handed but cast with my right with shorter rods & with both hands with longer rods. I always crank with my left hand. I do not switch.
  6. I have used InvizX, AbrazX, & Tatsu without the the breaking problems you are having. In fact I can't ever remember breaking off with those lines. As has been said check your guides & make sure your is good and wet when you pull your knot tight
  7. Read the article on the front page, Texas Rigging plastic worms
  8. Being left handed I use a Shimano Antares AR(5.8:1) for all my spinnerbaits. You might want to look into a Shimano Calais 100a it's the same reel but right handed. It balances very well on a 6 1/2 or 7 ft. rod & is as smooth as silk. You can not go wrong with this reel as it will work well with crankbaits also.
  9. I just figured out why I no longer have a wife!!
  10. Wow this is a very good thread. I must say I have been fishing for over 65 years & I must agree with Matt, he is spot on. For your information I do not own any of his products.

I know the feeling Catt. Getting old is not for wimps, I have knee & ankle problems myself. The doctor tells me I am just wearing out. Glad you are doing ok.
  12. I don't even bother to shop at BPS on line anymore. If I am in Myrtle Beach I'll stop by the store but it's been over 4 years since I've been to the Beach. I don't buy anything from them anymore.
  13. Spinnerbaits in the grass
  14. I wonder if the seller got paid?
  15. I fish on Santee Cooper in usually 15' or less. the smallest line I use is 10 lb Yo Zuri so it's bait casting for me. You would be surprised on how far you can cast light baits on some of the Japanese Shimano reels. I do fish a lot of plastics weightless.
  16. All my rods have the Fuji ECS reel seat. I like the feel of it.
  17. Wow that guy is unbelievable, I am glad you busted his butt.
  18. I saw where you mentioned this on another site & he mentioned it again while waiting to weigh in while you were at the BPS. I am wondering how you were going back to the middle of the lake to put in his live well without being seen. Are you sure he was not pulling your leg.
  19. I am wondering if you are trying to become lunch for a gator.
  20. Long Mike in boot camp I had to guard one of those things so that's out for me. I would probley watch more submarine races.
  21. I must agree with Raul on the Calais 100A. Being left-handed I have the Antares AR which is the Japanese version. It is one fine reel & you can throw light baits with it. I have both reels & would take the Calais every time even though it's a little heavier.
  22. Catt I had no idea about that program. I thought you were keeping track of anything over 7-8 pounds lol. That is a lot of bass over 13 pounds. How long a period is that over?
