  1. It was. I think they use nickel as a base metal
  2. I spaced out and totally forgot about the game last night. Man, “As I Get Older … “
  3. Amazon sux, send the cards to me and I will make sure to dispose of them properly Or you can use this cart at checkout
  4. I drift fish a lot on structure. Nothing wrong with it
  5. Are you replacing hooks on hard baits? Probably need no. 4's & 6's, I'm guessing?
  6. Great article! @Glenn, I just realized the author, Scott Petersen, he's been doing articles on here for, well, forever. At least as far back as I can remember.
  7. Impressive @Zcoker! We get dogfish in the bay, that’s about it for shark Thankfully
  8. Ok…so yeah, pretty much the same as us. I ended up selling a couple of molds and lead.
  9. Is that what it was? I really haven’t had a chance to dig into it. It’s been a busy day
  10. Are you guys still using leaded jigs and sinkers up in NH? We were banned in like 2011 and retailers have been pretty good about selling alternative products. I think I got a rogue full lead package. I'm guessing the retailer had no idea. Kinda weird talking about this after all these years
  11. I read an article from Outdoor Life about a week or so ago and it's been .... well, forever since I read an article from Outdoor Life. Now I'm finding that they have shows on? Now I gotta see if I can find them. Thanks @detroit1
  12. Ok....yeah...just seeing if retailer(s) are putting the right products on the shelf
  13. Changes day to day for me, depends on what head space I'm in ... some days I'm more relaxed (read not distracted) and will stay, other days I'm a bit more anxious (read distracted) and will move
  14. McCarthy's out ... I feel like the Cowboys dirtied him by no letting him go sooner or not letting him interview for the Bears position
  15. Hahaha ... I know right, whatever kind of cat chow that thing was on, I want some to feed our fish EDIT: Phone rang, should have finished my thought haha
  16. Any Massachusetts anglers finding lead jigs being sold at retailers like DSG or WalMart or even some of the hardware stores? I may have picked some up yesterday that are made with lead, but I can't be sure. At least I'm hoping they're unleaded.
  17. Oh man, that’s awful. So sorry for your loss bud.
  18. Ah shoot, out of reactions Congrats @12poundbass and @Darren.
  19. I’m rather fond of jigs with white and green back, so yes, I would use it ….
  20. I've been blessed to live on the coast and can fish both salt and freshwater. I caught most everything MA has to offer in terms of freshwater fish. We have no musky, so that would be a bucket list species. Saltwater I've been blessed to catch: Striped bass, bluefish, goosefish (sold as monkfish in restaurants), dogfish, cod, pollack, mackerel, whiting, cunner (that was fun and surprising), haddock, Sea Raven, yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, false albacore, bonito, skipjack. Bucket list would be a marlin, bluefin tuna, mako shark. As @Craig P mentioned in his post regarding fluke and black seabass, I will targeting them this year. I think I am 1 or 2 towns further north of their range in ME, but have heard reports that they have been migrating further north last season. I may have to settle on the fluke's cousin, the winter flounder and have already done some recon on them. Favorite species? False Albies are a lot of fun! A bluefish blitz can't be beat either.
  21. That's sexy. I'm surprised @Glenn allowed you to post that thing here, that should be Rated R Really killer looking bait
  22. How do you find terminal knot strength on such a stiff leader? I mean, at a dia of a whisker shy of 8 lb mono, I would think it wouldn't that much of a concern until you start climbing up the test strength scale, no?
  23. That's actually a lot for you guys, isn't it?
  24. Beautiful flies @Further North! Love em
