What lures for a 6' 6" "mod. fast", medium heavy casting rod?
Sounds like it might be good for crankbaits. As well as spinners and topwaters.

Burner Reels?
You could use it for just about anything you wanted except for DEEP diving cranks, IMO. I have a Curado 200DHSV (~7:1 gear ratio) on my worm/jig rod.

CRANKBAIT ROD HELP!
I will agree that the Triumph and the LT probably don't compare I don't think the Triumph is that bad of a rod. I fish one pretty often and have no complaints. I can't comment on the LT's because I don't own any, my high end rods are Loomis's, but the Triumph is nowhere near an IMX.

cant view the pics
I am in the same boat as you. I can't see most of the posted pics. I think it has to do with the firewalls on the work computers.

I need a new scale
I have the Berkley 50 lb. digital scale. It has held up pretty well. I will probably get one of the lip grips soon.

Flourocarbon or braided for deep water bass?
If you already have braid on it I would just add the leader. If you were going to respool I would go with fluoro or a copoly.

What to Do??
I was in a similar situation when i graduated HS (2004). All through high school I wanted to be an IT guy, then the last semester of my Sr. year I got co-op in the IT field and decided I did not want to do that for a living. I ended up going going to community college for two years and got my A.S degree and knocked out all of my gen ed's. By the time I finished community college I had a pretty good handle on what I wanted to do so I transferred to a university and got into the Occupational Safety & Health field. Now I am in a program that has some of the top companies in the coutnry coming in to interview student's for internships and graduates for full-time placement. Just keep your eyes and ears open and look at multiple possibilites. By the time you get most of the gen ed's knocked out you will have a beter idea of where you want to go. I have met a lot of people that are back in school because they got degrees that didn't suit them and are now trying to get a degree that can lead to a good job.

Fly-fishing
Last spring I decided I wanted to learn. I got some gear, not top of the line but okay, and tried it out. I never could get the casting down so stopped fooling with it. I will probably get the stuff out again and give it another shot.

Best All Purpose Line?
I really like Gamma Co-polymer line, but it is kind of pricey. I also like the yo-zuri lines and Suffix lines. Just try different ones and settle on one that fits you.

Fav Crankbaits?
I use mainly bandits, rapalas, and rattle traps. The few deep divers that I have are Norman DD22's.

Worm Only Ponds
Keep throwing worms and have fun!

First fish on a Fluke
Nice fish. I started throwing flukes the last couple years and have had good luck. Last fall I caught a sauger on one. Didn't know what it was at the time and almost lipped it.

"Fisherman" music video
Has anyone seen this before? I had never heard this song before but I saw a story on ESPN's Bassmaster site. I thought it was pretty good. http://www.outdoormusic.com/ca_fisherman.html

Backward Senko?
If you caught fish on it it sounds valid to me.

I believe my parents have a heat pump in their house and my dad is always complaining about it. They live in KY.

Tournament Partner
I wish I was in the Nashville area, I fish up around KY and Barkley Dam. Hope you find a partner.

The never ending search for the right tackle box.
I have the large green Okochobee fats bag from Wal Mart. It has a lot of storage space in it. I fill the main compartment with Falcon boxes and use the end compartments for plastics. Tools and my scale go in the front pouch. This thing is too heavy to pack around so it usually stays in my truck when bank fishing. When I am bank fishing I carry a Plano 1350 Magnum Satchel. This holds enough stuff for a good day of fishing and if I need something else I can go back to the truck and get it. The bag is a good deal, it comes with a bunch of utility boxes but they are not very good. There was another thread about this bag a few days ago you may want to check out.

storing plastics
I have tried the worm binders ( a Storm and a Quantum) but was not very pleased. THe quantums bags ripped and would not stay in the binder. The storm has held up better but it is still not that good. I now just leave them in original packaging or ziploc bags and stuff them in the pockets of my tackle bags.

UFC Rampage Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin
I think he can hang, and given time maybe even contend. I have heard his normal weight is around 215 so he won't be dropping too much. I can't wait for that fight. EliteXC is having a free fight the weekend after UFC Fight Night. I hope it is better than the last one.

New Bassin guy here
Depends on your budget. But a good inexpensive rod is a Berkley Lightningrod. My friend has one and I will be getting one in the near future. BTW, welcome to the forum.

NASCAR on TNT
I kind of liked how they would still show the race in the background while running commercials. I didn't think they took all that many commercial breaks, but I did not watch the entire race. The coverage is still not as good as Fox's though. Fox has the best sports presentations IMO. I was watching the prerace when Kyle Petty was driving the pace car and when he said "This is the first time I've led anything in twenty years" I about lost it, I thought that was pretty funny. I thought my Miller Lite Dodge might pull one out but that was a great finish.
