  1. No, It’s not just you Its the same down here too. Traveling on I 75 can be downright dangerous most of the time. I usually cruise between 70 and 75 and they fly past me like I’m sitting still. When I can feel the wind of a small Corolla passing me in a fairly large SUV you know they gotta be pushing 90!! Makes ya wonder what FHP is doin Mike
  2. You did the right thing of course especially if you took the opportunity of a friendly exchange to just point out what he did and why you didn’t like it. Someone else in the future might not be as gracious Mike

You can’t fight it so Embrace it. Cherish it. Look at it this way…The love you have for each of them individually has been returned and shown to you collectively. You’re a loved and lucky man!! Mike
  4. Agree, you are a good Dad who is giving a life lesson to your girls. All you can do is what you can, the best way you can. Seems to me that’s exactly what you’re doin. Mike
  5. Good for him!! Best of everything for him Mike
  6. To all who.. “Gave The Last Full Measure of Devotion” And those “Known But To God” On a personal note…. All my friends who were KIA in Viet Nam and Cambodia 1967-1971 Uncle Jim Platoon Sargent 101st Airborne Div Normandy France June 6 1944 May you all Rest In Peace Mike
  7. I hope Dad is doin better and better Mike
  8. Don’t have one either, the best is when they decide to bed. Mike
  9. I understand the spirit of the hull trap rule but I still don’t like it, they had it right the first time. Rubbing a fish along the side of a hot and dry hull can’t be better than cradling against the body to remove trebles. Heck, even if it’s laid still on the carpet, without rubbing it across of course is better for the fish. Mike
  10. That’s the best thing you can do. Being heavily involved in classic car Concours judging and showing it’s common knowledge that any use of ethanol regardless of % will destroy anything it touches if left idle over time. Since the majority of these cars are not daily drivers, I’ve seen thousands of dollars wasted and grown men cry like little girls. Mike
  11. You’re not alone Pal! Mike
  12. As others have said, I’m not messin with a torn up, messed up, beat up piece of plastic. Have I done it in the past? Sure, but if I want to be consistent and pattern a bite to catch more, a hit on a shorter or ripped bait doesn’t tell me much. Mike
  13. Come back on as soon as you can Mike
  14. Zako I leave as is. When using a swim bait trailer I use a headless Skinny Dipper Mike
  15. Looks great! A lot better than most I’ve seen Mike
  16. I use 30# for most top water’s in open, light scattered grasses. 50# for frogs and 65# for heavier everything else and 80# for punching through the worst of it. Mike
  17. I don’t own a boat but during tournaments I increased what I give to my boaters. Mike
  18. The penalty is when a fish touches any part of the angler or boat between the time the fish is over gunnels and being weighed. There is an expectation if there is incidental touching at the marshals discretion. Mike
  19. @SWVABass My next is the 2 day Super Tournament on Okeechobee on Sept 18-19. If you finish in the top 45 or win a division qualifier you automatically advance to the Regionals You have to enter all 5 in a division and fish at least 2 to advance to the wild card if you didn’t qualify for a Regional. At the Regionals and wild card tournament you have to finish in the top 6 to advance to the All-American. From there it’s on to the Toyota Series. Best of luck to you. Mike
  20. I have 2 Lancer Pro’s and 1 Dobyns and use all 3 every outing. They are all excellent for what I use them for and have no regrets. The ARK’s are more than worth their price. Also, I’ve never had a problem with either company’s customer service. Mike
  21. For all BFL Divisions the boater fee for each qualifier is $200, co angler is $100 The Super Tournaments are $300 & $100 Mike
  22. If you asking how come you can’t catch 4 more lbs than your average on a certain day…. You didn’t fish where a few of the bigger ones were… Or, your timing was off when you went where you were… Or, You made the wrong bait choice for a bigger one to hit… Point is averaging less than a pound a fish of a 5 bag weight on a specific outing can be anything. Just as your average or lower may win on certain days. I think you did a good job. Mike
  23. As was stated keep with it. If they don’t like it one way try another or move. I don’t use that particular set up but when it’s on, It’s on and won’t matter that much. Mike
  24. Good For You!! Great Job Mike
  25. I would keep… I Punch 1 MH/XF 1 MH/F All casting rods. I don’t use spinning rods Mike
