  1. Yep still would choose VMC fastgrip WG hooks for my fat ikas over any owner hook. If both on sale for a buck a pack Im grabbing the VMC's.
  2. Ill be the desenter on the Merrells never will I buy another pair. I'd grade them a D on waterproofness both will leak in a 1" deep puddle a D on wet surface grip and if there is an incline on wet surface a big F. They get an A on comfort and an A for grip on dry rocks. If I was able to returned them I would have.
  3. I tried a jerkbait for the first time today didnt catch any bass with it but managed a couple recently stocked trout. Also got a perch with a 3" keitech paddle tail.
  4. 1/8th ounce comparison not my video I have both prefer the 70 as well.
  5. My grandmother as well Wooton Kentucky. Even up here Northern Illinois a truck stop has fried apples for their breakfast buffet.
  6. An educated thumb can feather that out rather easily.
  7. BAMA BUG colored senko for these
  8. Okuma Helios is a very good rod I have the 7'MH/F very light well balance and sensitive. Its on sale for $102.46 at walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Okuma-Helios-Mini-Guide-Cast-Rod-7-MH-1pc/34742965
  9. Did you pay for the pinnacle and helios or were they given to to for review?
  10. works for me with 4 different zman products
  11. There is also a LTB walleye version 8'6" mlxf with a little less lure rating 1/8-3/8. Most feel a FnF rod should be more moderate action not XF.
  12. Senko no, ned rig nada, paddle tail very little. Spinnerbait has been great for me and even a savior some days. White/chartreuse skirt they (crappie bass pike) have hit on the fall as well as dragging near bottom 20-24fow.
  13. A tighter spool tension also makes the handle turn a bit stiffer. I like a free loose handle feel so keep spool tension to a minimum always, dont change it lure to lure.
  14. I dont know about others but I have great success retrieving them slow. I use 24"-26" per turn reels mostly and even turn them rather slowly. This slow retrieve is where the keitechs shine above the knock-offs.
  15. Got this one 18" 3pounds dragging 1/2oz SK Rocket Shad along the bottom 22fow through weeds. Reel Tatula SV, rod brand that cant be mentioned 7'1" M/F , line 16# Sniper.
  16. Few by-products again from a spinnerbait
  17. Wait for the Keitech website 50% off sale and load up. Like a Senko there really is no substitute.
  18. Read that about the SV105 and the Tat SV then purchased them and disappointment buyers remorse followed.
  19. I did not know it's the same person.
  20. He sure does trigger the daiwa fanboys. Simple solution do your own distance casting videos featuring daiwa reels mostly, I will gladly watch.
  21. printed one for me one for my wife and one for my 18yo.
  22. same issue I had with mine random clicking noise on the retrieve "Well unfortunately my Helios developed some issues with noise on the cast and a ticking noise on the retrieve. The ticking noise I believe was in the thumb bar action but didnt bother going into it I just returned it for another brand of reel."
