CUSTOM ROD QUESTION
Well only a bit to say, I have both, Custom Crafted and Custom Built, both have made my fishing experience so much better... but the one that I have designed have to carry my name on them....this will also make them unique.

Best bang for the buck Baitcaster around $50?
A couple of kids in my club have been fishing with this one, this is their second season and the reel is holding up. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_91122_100001001_100000000_100001000_100-1-1

Looking to get one more rod without a reel, help !
I would keep the Extreme rod for you jigs/worm and frog and get an Okuma SB series 7.6 MH ( $ 99.00 ) You may not be able to cast light frogs with it but is perfect for the swimbaits that you are talking about.

Swimbait rod - Feedback needed!
I like the Okuma 7.6 MH to fish the Mattlures, to me the best. I have the Crucial EH for a few weeks to fish the big swimbait.....it was rapidly replaced by Powell 7.11 H. Setyr and Rogue make very nice ones too. Anxious to get the Dobyns 7.95 Mike Long series.

Curado 100 or Daiwa Sol

Airrus vs. Kistler
Depend of what you are using it for. I love the tip of the Ultra XL MH for jigs. ( I use it in front of any of my IMX or GLX for this porpuose ) I like a lot the Puls-R for heavy soft platics. Negative to all of them is their weight. I also don't like cork much, neither a foregrip of any kind [ go Airrus ]. Airrus does't have a rod that can match my Kistler LTA ML for light lures, they also don't have a better spinner or senko rod than GLoomis, IMO. I have experience with their warranty and costumer service.....there is no way than anyone can even get close to them. The best out there w/o comparison, one phone call and I got a new rod at my door steps, no fees or questions asked.

shimano rod warranty
This is my experience with warranties. Kistler and GLoomis. $ 50.00 ( + shipping the old one, $ 20 ) Okuma. $14.95 ( + shipping the bottom piece of the blank, $ 7 ) Airrus. Free ( you keep the old one ) Shimano Crucial. Still broken in my garage.

2-pc swimbait rod?
I use have been using a Cardiff 301 for almost 2 years now and I don't want anything else. I just ordered a 201 for my new set. The reel cast like a champ out the box, it doesn't have the ideal drag power for big swimbaits but changing the washers I gained 4 lbs. I have done a few other upgrades and I'm super satisfied with it. It is still near 2 oz lighter that its rich cousin the Calcutta TE. I think you are going to have a hard time finding a 2 pieces SB rod. Check the Musky and Salmon rods

Ultimate Melee Weapon
I have the blueprint of this set for a long time to follow me in my shore fishing, finally came to a true accidentally while checking the shop of my trusted reel mechanic and rod builder David Green ( Reelmech ). This whole set weight just under 12 oz and is capable of removing any fish from the nastiest environment ( like South Jersey waters ). It will have Sufix 50 lbs and will be use primarily for pitching and short casting on heavy cover. St Croix SC III 6.6 H blanck and my best reel. Enjoy....I'm having a blast just from looking at it

Calcutta CTE 200 GT
Thank you Avid and RW for sharing a very interesting review. I'm also a Daiwa guy except when it comes to big swimbait reels where I'm lock with Shimano. I've never fished the Calcutta TE but I always wonder if the smoothness and drag power would justify the 10.4 oz weight. I use a Cardiff 301 with a TE 200 handle with 4 bearings, upgraded drag and ball bearings and I'm still at 8.9 ozs.....guess is personal preference.. Thanks again guys!!!!!!!

New bling for the TD-Z...
Very nice work. I have that spool in one of my 105, it add a big junk of line capacity and is lighter than the stock TD-Z. I changed the drag washer to Carbontex in all mine.....it does make a difference. Great looking machine, congrats!!!

Powell Max and Pflueger Summit
I have been fishing with the swimbait 7.11 H, I like it better than any other swimbait rod I ever had or fish with, extremely well made.
