  1. Fishing rivers is all about reading current and understanding your species relationship to current. I don't know Kentucky's but as soon as 1 is caught I would start building. Infront of that pile of rocks will be fished by everbody but if you get a bite it's important to how much current was present and keep building. Bandit 100 square bill. Garnet
  2. The 20 ft cajun was a great bot huge rod lockers a grown man could lay down in them. Garnet
  3. Smoke with purple and any color with purple they will be shallow. Spinnerbaits and jerkbaits and rattle traps. Garnet
  4. The first thing is were are you going to sell your tackle if it's to retailers who is going to make the sales call. You can have the greatest baits with the best packaging and nobody will call. How many wholes sale shows are you going to count on $5000/show cost. It's a tuff biz do lots of thinking. Garnet
  5. san diago jam knot good enough for arron martins good enough for me. Garnet
  6. Try adjusting if it doesn't work take that adjuster off and try. I've had 2 boats that no adjuster was the right adjustment. Garnet

All those banjo minnows that are the photo print preach in 3.5 i will buy from you RW. And don't ever fish walleye with them. Garnet
  8. Boron fenwicks are from the 1980's I'm surprised any survived. They are very light and wicked fast and one little chip will blowup. aIf they ever got boron sorted out you would never hear about graphit rods again. Garnet
  9. I know tourney guys that wear golf glove when using spinning equipment for blisters. Garnet
  10. I fished a situation like this from a paddle boat years ago. If you pull up to the spot and just anchor and sit real quiet you will notice the fish start ignoring you after 10 -15 mintues. start making soft cast with a senko or some surface bait. When they spook again sit quiet. Garnet

You are correct if you get moisture in it will keep it in. I've had no problem unless I open a box when raining and I just dry it out when I get home. You will not be dissapointed in the sample bottles I just wish there was a little more geek in me to post the link 90ml with orange or blue lids are leak proof. Garnet
  12. This time of year those Canadain Geese are breeding and they do have a mean streak. Better than kickin the dog and less expensive than kicking the wife (hope she doesn't see this guess who will get kicked). All your ? will take a lifetime to answer and it's all fun. Garnet
  13. We throw a lot of jerkbaits in this area on spinning rods. I use both but when the wind gets up only a spinning rod. Shimano Clarus 6ft 8 inch medium with x. This is a good beefy rod and a 4000 reel helps get a little more distance fishing 5 to 8 inch jerkbaits. I change back and foreth between bc and spinning to get different looks. Garnet

No gaskett on that plastic box you will be throwing out rusty jigs very quickly. Check out these medical sample jars in the 90ml size they fit right in the plano exacter high box with a gaskett so you are doulbe sealed. My sister inlaw works for a medical supply company and I bought these plastic jars for 40 cents each now I never throw out rusty hooks or jigs. Starplex Scientific and look at leakbusters Garnet
  15. Try inserting a gulp sinking minnow 3 inch in your tude and you can hook it any way and have scent. I've been playing with it with some success but it hasn't made the team yet. Garnet
  16. I don't no a rubber brand theres a hard plastic insert with rattle thats cool. I use the one with the brass rattle attached in the BPS catalog. You can make these inserts by flatting a worm wieght and take a nail and but a hole in the nose. You can't drill lead. Cheap bell sinkers work pretty good. Garnet
  17. Every lake I fish has zebra mussles. There is no zebra mussle proof line. Power Pro has 100 fibres so you can nick some and still land fish all the fused products are 1 nick and done. You didn't mention what presentation you were using so crig is real bad. Checking line and retie often is just standard. Drop shot keeps your bait off the bottom that helps but zebras stick to weeds also. Go up on lb. test and retie often. If the zebras just got in your lake they will be large and a pain after a few years the water will clear and the zebras will get smaller but still a pain. Garnet
  18. So change mono regularly because of it's makeup 2 molcule. But copoylmers and flouro do not need to change nears as much dencer and tougher. The line companys will not inform you of this for money reasons. Power Pro is 10x better than flouro for degradation it's also a fact that the half life of these products are over 300 years so throw then in the garbage not the lake. Garnet
  19. From grade 11 chemistry mono 2 molcules lots of stretchand absorbes water, copoylmer is a 3 molcule product less stretch heavy or more dense lesss water obsorbes ,flouro is a 4 molcule product very little stretch even more dense and sinks almost no water absorb.. Power pro braid has no stretch and floats Garnet gr 11 chemistry was 40 years ago
  20. Spinning turn handle 10 turns and drop your line if it pigtails turn spool over. Set spool on edge on floor and start turning handle the spool will fall over the right way also works in the sink. Garnet
  21. With power pro you can spool from one spinning reel to the other spinning reel and the line is new on the other end. Power Pro has no memory. 8 seasons on 15lb power pro on my steelhead stick I get about 20 to 60 days per year. It looked ratty but was causing no problems. My reason for changing line reds new. Garnet
  22. The times I throw a spinnerbait without a trailer hook.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................get the picture. Garnet
  23. Sharping hooks is a losed art and for good reason most hooks are sharp. I still touch up some baits. Those yellow handle files in BPS are the best all the battery jobs suck. Garnet
  24. You can make any fishfinder portable. And buying batteys can make you broke plus the inconvince. Get a 12 volt battery for Safefty. The ones that are on the wall for power failures. Available at industrail supply outlets. I just talked to the right maintance man at work. They can be charged with a power point or trickle charger. If you are in icefishing area the portable ice fishing flasher use the same battery my buudy bought his replacement battery from BPS. Get a piece of 1x3 and bolt the tranducer to and a c clamp to attach to boat. Garnet

Jigs and hooks are stored in medical sample plastic jars. They seal and prevent rust. Garnet
