Lucky Craft Lv-0 Lipless (lipped) Crankbait
I think the LC lure you are talking about is a "Wake bait" it is ment to run at the surface so that you have a "V" shaped wake behind the lure. If you are interested in a "Fat" lure, Mann's and excalibur make a nice fat crankbait shaped wake bait. I just started using this type of top water lure but I know that many fishermen have been modifying stickbaits to run at the surface for years.

Just bought an Avid 6'8" med. xf, what's the best reel for under$125
I have always been a Shimano man but was talked into buyin a Daiwa Tierra 3000. I have to admit that it is my favorite spinning reel. I like the bigger spool on the 3000 it helps with"line Twists" the base is the same size as the 2500. The Daiwa Exceler 3000 is also a great reel and it sells for $70.

Which baitcaster?
I picked the Citica even though I have never used one. Te reason is that I was told the new Citica is is the old Curado. The old Curados are by far the best reel I've used in the $100 range. That being said, I have a "President" and it is a great reel, very smooth. I just don't know how is will hold up. The Curado's are built like a tank.

Skipping rod ?
I'm looking for a skipping rod that retails under $200 and would appriciate any suggestions. I think a spinning rod is what I will buy but I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks, Gary

Home Rod Storage
I made a storage rack by screwing a 6' length of pipe insulation horizonally to the wall about 4.5 ' from the floor. I then made a vertical slice with a razor blade about every 5". I just slide each rod into the slice and rest the but end on the floor. this is in my basement that has a cement floor so I placed some wood on the floor to set the but end of the rods on.

Favorite flippin stick between $180-$250
A great muti-use rod is the St. Croix Avid AC73MHF. I use this rod for Flip/Pitch, C-rigs, swimbaits and frogging. St. Croix rods tend to have more backbone than many other rod brands so I find the MHF powerful enough for Flip/Pitching.

FAT IKA COLOR & PRESENTATION
Ditto! It's like my own little secret here in N.E. Ohio. I catch more bass on the Ika than any other soft plastic I use, an that includes the Senko.

Are chatterbaits worth investing in??
I have caught many Largemouths and Smallies on the CB, 95% of the time I had it rigged with just a super fluke and no skirt. As with a spinnerbait you will have to change your retrive speed to see what the Bass wants. I always sharpen the hook out of the package and have no problems with landing the fish. Good Luck

Best uses for my rods???
With how popular "Drop shotting & Shakey head" is getting I would think about a 7' ML with a x-fast tip spinning rod. A 7' H with fast tip for Frogs, jigs and swimbaits would also be a good set-up.

Crankbait rod?
I use the St. Croix Avid (AC66MHM) for all my crankbaits.

Deal or no deal!!! Let's see your deal!!!!
When Shimano came out with the new Curado's Wal-Mart put the Curado 200-B (green) on clearence for $49.00. I was able to find 5 of them and sold three of them for $125.00 each. I ended up buying a Curado 200-D 7.1:1 with the profits. I picked up a 14' Myers alum boat with trailer, trolling motor and fish finder for $350. Last week Gander Mt. had Lucky Craft Pointer 100 (Table Rock Shad) for $9.97

St. Croix AVC69MLXF ?
I was at Gander Mt. and there was a Croix AVC69MLXF on clearence for $99.00. (retail $170.00) I have never fished with a "ML" baitcasting rod only spinning rods. What would be the best use for this rod?

Best fishing mags?
Bassmasters for articles like the "Day on the lake" and tour info. Bassin for "how to" type articles and tackle reviews. FLW for indepth articles on fishing locations and different baits. The internet and forums like this are my #1 source of information though.

Looking for suggestions for a jerkbait rod.
Thanks RW, What St Croix avid spinning rod would you like for jerkbaits. I have this mind set on fishing with one make of rod.

Looking for suggestions for a jerkbait rod.
What rod do you like best for jerkbaits. I have a St Croix Premier 6'MF baitcaster that I plan on using. I was thinking about a spinning rod for jerkbaits when I need to use lite line.

Classic patterns DVD's
If you like the Classic Patterns videos check out "The Bass Pro's" video from BPS. It has all 11 shows from the 2007 season plus three bonus vids. (4 hours)There is much BPS self promotion but the amount of good information in the videos makes it worth it.
