3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Man I don't even know where to start! G-Ville was a great time! The only problem was it didn't last long enough. I was like a kid in a candy store down there. All the great, kind hearted members and just not enough time to get to know them all well enough. Road Warrior, thank you for everything. You have become a true friend. Can't wait till the next time we fish togather. Long Mike, I enjoyed the conversation out on the back deck. You're top shelf man! Mass Hole Mike, looks like you didn't need any coot poop! LOL Your well on your way! In my book your already there! Alpster, I can't say enough about this guy. I'm gonna stick a pig with your gift. I'm so proud of it. Thank You! Ryan, one of the nicest young men I've ever got to fish with. You've got it togather man. Speedbead, Jimzee, and AJ, I felt like we'd been friends awhile. These guys are good ole boys! Dang good sticks too! Riskkid and Shadcranker, you guys are cool...too cool! Hope we're gonna hit Ky./Barkley before long. Glenn, Kerry, Gene, Ghoti, and Electrical, I felt like I didn't get to spend enough time with ya'll. Though the time and conversation we had was priceless, guess we'll make up for it next year. Hope I didn't leave anybody out. I know, it sounds like I'm excepting a grammy but I am still blown away from how great our family here truely is. CJ

Ric Flair
Nope, no vettes for Flair. He is a jet air flyin', limo ridin', high profilin' nature boy! WOOOOOO!!! This guy was the best! In his time, nobody could go with him. His physical ability and stamina was unmatched in the "pro" westling business. Now he's old and still takes a good bump. He is a true legend of his business. Perhaps the greatest of all time.

Home from my extremely abbreviated BR Roadtrip...
I fished with Speedbead on Thursday. Almost duplicated you and Carl's day. Couple of dink LM and a nice spot. There was this one guy though....well I'll let him tell his own story when he gets back home to Mass! We'll definantly get togather here whenever ya'll get ready! CJ

Good to see you made it home safe, Rob. Overall, the trip was great! Fishing wasn't bad, but it could have been better. CJ

It was Bob Lusk! Here's a link to his magazine's website: http://www.pondboss.com/ For those who didn't get to make it...you missed out. This guy knows bass, inside and out.

Should I hook a snake in the head or tail?
*cough* Hey don't call me out bud! I know what happened on my lake. I got hits on a topwater snake in sub 40 weather. I didn't catch any because I was settin' the hook before they could get the 11" snake in their mouth, but I definitely got hits... THAT'S NO BS!!! Probally wasn't bass!

Quality, not quanity applies to Easter egg hunting too!
Yeah, I think I need to have his DNA tested. He's starting to resemble a certain Cali guy named Chris. LOL ;D

Quality, not quanity applies to Easter egg hunting too!
Our youngins' just finished their annual Easter egg hunt. 6 kids and about 200 eggs. The older ones dashed out across snatching up every egg in their path. But my youngest son, Gavin 7 years old, just calmly lagged out there passing up a few eggs and started selectively picking up an egg here and an egg there. By the time the hunt was over he had only picked up 12 eggs. With most hunts there is a couple "golden eggs". Our family doesn't paint the egg gold. It's what's inside that counts! As I watched Gavin open his first egg, a $5 bill fell out. Then he opens another and a $10 falls out! This may be a sign of things to come. Some of you already know, he's ahead of his time with a rod and reel in hand! CJ

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008

THE PENNANTS ARE "ALMOST" IN VIEW AND THE TRASH IS FLYING- 2008
Muddy, Cards are winning 3-1 going into the 3rd! Delgado just burnt that clumsy left feilder of ours though. I wish my dad was the pitching coach. :

Northern-strain Bass vs. Florida-strain Bass
I know the thread may be based on the agressivness. One thing that caught my eye about Florida bass was they were more reluctant to jump during the fight and their explosive top water strikes. Most of the quality northerns I have caught on top water just slurp the lure under. I saw some explosive strikes while fishing east Toho and I mean EXPLOSIVE! CJ

Heavy Shallow Cranks
Wonder, does it float? Is it a flatsided crank? Wonder how well it deflects off wood? Check out the Rat and the Mouse, they are one of the best I have found at deflecting cover and they're pretty close to 3/8 oz: http://www.wallygbaits.com/varmint_series.htm I like a heavier lure for shallow water. Aids to casting accuracy.
