Mend it expires?
Their first container bottles were very bad & dried out quickly. I have heard they upgraded to a new container that seals better, but I have not confirmed that.

spinning reel problem?
.RM. I do not think that is the problem. I have a second reel and use it all day with the same lure and weight and it never snaps shut during the cast. If this is a reel problem could I send it to you or could you explain a way to fix it? I love the reel, but when it snaps it can be deadly to your lure or yourself!

spinning reel problem?
I always close the bail by hand to prevent line twist, but I never had a problem like this. Is changing this spring easy to do, or should I leave it to a professional? Thanks.

spinning reel problem?
I have a shimano stradic spinning reel about 3 years old. Love the reel, but about every 3 casts the bail snaps shut during the cast. Reel Mech or anyone know what I can do for this problem? Thanks.

small lightweight boat
My friend is moving to a house with a small lake in the back. He wants to get a small boat so we can get out there and give it a try. Something we can carry and may be able to handle a TM. Storage is the backyard and there is no ramp or dock. A jon boat or something like it. Any suggestions? Thanx.

Rage Tail. Epic Fail.
I have mixed outcomes on the RT products. I like the rage shad because it is a great buzzer that goes anywhere. I also like the anacondas, a different type of worm that works well in certain areas. I think the rage toad is ok, but I prefer others. I am trying some of the other RT products now so I cannot comment. Like most companies some of their products I like and some I have found others that I like better. Lures are tools and all will work under the right conditions. Keep some of your RTs you never know when it may work out to be the best thing you throw. The RT products went through alot of research, development, and field testing. They are good baits.

fish doesnt recover from hookset
Get a pair of long handled very sharp side-cutters. Handle the fish carefully cut the hook in half and the pieces slide out with very minimal injury. I can cut even those super braid thick hooks easily and return the fish quickly. This was recommended by a fish biologist. Your survival rate will be much higher on deep hooked bass.

old vs new
Anyone have an old time lure that out produces the newer stuff you have? I have an old wooden small size lucky 13, beat up, paint missing, catches fish consistantly. Lets hear yours.

Which Popper has the best " Bloop" sound ?
loudest bloop is definately the large size hula popper. It will wake up the neighbors.

worm'in vs. senko
Wack, I understand what you are talkin about. We all know senkos catch bass. Sometimes it is fun to experiment with the hundreds of other soft plastics we all carry along. Fishing is the whole experience. If you caught fish on each cast there would be no challenge. Like others have said, use the senko to locate and then mix it up. Trying new stuff is half the fun and that is how new presentations and new baits (like the senko) are discovered.

Red Teeth
Great thread. I have seen the red before, but never really thought about it. It sounds like its related to the cold water. I wonder if depth could also be part of the equation. In extreme temps bass seek deep water. I have heard salt water fish change color when brought up from deeper water.

Fishing in the wind
I hate the wind. Some guys like it, but it makes everything more difficult (casting, boat control, TM control etc.) I have tried a drift sock, anchoring, and looking for shelter areas with not much luck. How do you guys handle windy conditions if you have to? Thanks.

Those old red head baits
I don't know why it was popular. I have never seen anything in a lake look like that. Maybe it was just easy to paint or red and white paint were cheaper. All the big companies used that color scheme. I still have an old bass oreno and they do work.

Favorite old time lure or Co. ?
For me, I have an old wooden heddon lucky 13. My dad gave it to me when I was a kid. It has caught some nice fish, but now it is retired to the back of the box. What be your favorite old school lure?

Addicted to buying lures?
This is truly an addiction, but much better for you than most. I can't leave the store without some lures. You know its bad when you get home and find the same lure you bought is already in the box and you forgot you had it. I sometimes talk myself into something because it is slightly different size, color, or action. I need help. The bait companies and their monkey have us by the privates and there is no way out.

Whats your go to lure when all else fails?
I have fun trying different lures and techniques, but if I get nothing, I will revert to my younger years and throw a beetlespin. It will almost always produce at least a strike.

Hey guys, just wondering if the peacock bass survived that last cold blast. I hope to get down that way and try to get one someday.
