Oil Prices Plunge
Yes they have. Last month they were charging $21.99. About a week ago they raised their prices up to $24.99. I just do it myself and it cost about half.

Interesting article on using Braid with Spinning Gear
x2 on the power pro on spinning reels. In the past I used 10lb braid on spinning with no problems. I'd say, go for it.

Oil Prices Plunge
I totally agree with that. All we hear about is how there is such an oil shortage. Until I go to the pump and there is a sign that says "sorry we are out of gas", I won't be sweating a "shortage". Its all Hype IMO

Hurray!!! Party Time! I hope this is the start of something!

Oil Prices Plunge
I think the "Oil Bubble" burst! Oil is in complete freefall! I can practically see $2 gas. : Anyways, its nice to see oil pull back a bit. Now that it's "on-sale" I'm sure that the price will get run up again this afternoon. :'(

Credit Card fraud
In my experience with credit card fraud, call the number on the back of your card. Tell them the story, tell them exactly what transactions were fraud, and you should be 100% not responsible for those charges. I have done that twice, and went very smoothly. That was with VISA. I believe that the cabelas card is a VISA, too. Give that a shot.

casting vs spinning q's
For me, I like casting reels better. You can't control the distance (when lure is in-flight) as easily with spinning gear as you can with casting gear. When it really comes down to it, its what you feel most confortable with. But with a little practice using a casting reel, you will love it in no time.

For the Record
Looks like I might be a little off with my prediction. Kinda looking like it's just around the corner. We will see, I was hoping my prediction wouldn't happen but looks like it will I think that gas will hit your prediction by the 4th of July. :'( I just really don't see an end in sight. There is nothing that is going to stop gas from climbing to a new record high everyday.

Potato Guns
I have made one before. TONS of fun!!! I have used a lot of different popellant. I liked spray deoderant. Fired well, not sticky (like hairspray), and smelled good too.

So what's the deal with Yo-Zuri Hybrid?
I currently use 12# Ultra soft on a couple of my baitcasters. Very impressed with it. I have used it for 2 years now. Very little memory, strong and just an all around great line.

Pontoon boat
I have used one for many years. They are really good for drinking beer and having a good time! but...for fishing IMO they are just "ok". Unless you are right on the bow(where there are now railings) it is better up there. I felt the railings got in the way. It just depends on what you really want to get out of it. If you are a hardcore bass fisherman, then probably not a great idea If you want a combination bass/party barge, then go for it.

For the Record
I bet regular gas goes to $4 before it goes down to $3 >

Unleaded Fuel
I run 87 always. I ask about this before and I believe that someone on here said that you should use what its rated for. If its rated for 87, use 87. I also heard that 91 burns "slower" than 87, so it could acutally do more damage than good. But someone help me out here. Just wait, someone will come through here in the clutch.

cool science experiments
I'm glad she liked it. When I first did that, I found it pretty cool too.(heck, what am I talking about, I still do!)

cool science experiments
I always thought that taking an empty pop can, filling it with about 2oz of water and bringing that water to a boil inside the can. Then (with tongs) flip it upside down so the opening is just below the water level in a bowl of cold water. The can instantly crushes due to the extreme pressure change inside the can. Its pretty cool, and really easy to do.

Who plans on "video-ing" this year?
I'll be shooting video again this year. I'll post my videos when they are made. I'm using fujifilm s700. I took LBH's recommendation for it and I'm pleased with the camera so far. I've had it for about a year now.

How did you find Bass Resource?
Just wondering how everyone here found this awesome site. Did a friend refer you, find it on a search engine, etc? For me, I was looking for help in turing a jon boat into a bass rig. I did a few searches on google and yahoo and bassresource.com kept coming up in my results (as if anyone here customizes jon boats : ). I liked what this site had to offer, so I stuck around. That was a few years ago. How about the rest of you?

Post Pics of your Bass Rig
Posted by: Olebiker I LOVE it!!! It adds a ton of storage under it. Also in the center is a rod locker that will hold my 7' rods. I really like the extra deck space.
