Classic Plastic
The Baby Brush Hog (as well as my version) in Junebug has been a killer for me too. On one lake in particular it has been the number one producer year after year and an ultimate confidence bait there.

Classic Plastic
With all this old school classic plastic talk lately (Lizards, Grubs, Tubes, etc.) in the Tackle Section of the forum, I'm curious to know what are your guys all time most classic plastic? For me it would have to be a 6" straight tail plastic worm. Preferably Purple (Junebug) Texas rigged 3/16 or 1/4 oz Tungsten weight with a Gammy 2/0 Offset RB hook. For me this is my all-time confidence rig. A proven fish catcher decade after decade. So whats your guys all time plastic?

Fishing Shows
Yes, every single year because I work a show as a vendor. I have done so for both the corporation I work for and I did a year with my own booth for my side business. Would I still go otherwise? Probably not, for the reasons you mentioned such as it turning in to a clothing and jewelry bizarre. With the advent of online sales, social media and such, much of what would of previously been a valuable resource can be had with the click of a button on a mouse. Still a good time can be had if you go to just cruise around for the day and chit chat with some industry folks and such. Some people still actually want to talk to human beings in person!

Ever Use A Fluke Or Sluggo As A Swim Jig Trailer?
Yes, however I prefer a boot tail swimbait under most circumstances.
- Plastic grubs
- Plastic lizards

TOPWATER COMBO
The Spook Jr. is the one bait you mentioned that would actually warrant the 15 lb. For the Poppers I would prefer the 12 lb. If your only going to spool one size line, I would go with the lighter size for the casting advantage as the 12 lb will be just fine strength wise.

TOPWATER COMBO
I use 12 and 15 primarily and 20 for bigger stuff. With the baits you listed the 12 would probably work the best for optimum casting distance. Heavier baits could get the 15 pound just fine.

RUST PREVENTION
I use the desiccant packets as well in all of my tackle boxes that have any sort of metal in them (IE: Hooks, Blades, etc.).

Mental! I watched it about a dozen times...

Green Pumpkin Nemesis
You might want to try the "Magic Craw" color. Its basically GreenPumpkin/ W or WO BlackFlake color with a iridescent finish to it. Super fishy color...

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Go with the VMC Boxer Head. A much better option in IMO for the exact reason you stated about the line tie. I also like the shape of the head better as well. Still the same quality VMC though.

Best Trailer for a swim jig?
For a bladed swim jig and open water and with lighter colored baits, I like a "Fluke" style bait. For bottom bouncing and darker colors I like a "BBH" style bait, with very little deviation form this. For a regular old fashioned swimjig I like a 4" swimbait matching the skirt color.

Favorite Drop Shot Hook ?
Gammy Split Shot/ Drop Shot hook 99% of the time. The Owner Mosquito is also a nice hook. If I need to go weedless, the Robo Rebarb hook is nice.

Wow, I remember when
I remember when... I first joined! Seems like just yesterday although its been almost 7 years! Holy Guacamole does time fly when your having fun. This site has saved my sanity in the winter and we don't have any hard water! I work in a very seasonal industry and this site has helped me get through many a slow day. Cheers and thanks!

Rods and their colors
Any color as long as its black. Haha. I can use whatever as long as its not obnoxious. About the most "exotic" I have are the dark red G. Loomis Crank Bait rods. All my customs are black blanks with black wraps with very minor red inlays. I do have a handful of dark green Crucials that match my Curado E's quite nice though...

Worst thing a BOATER has done to you
That line in that movie is quoted so regularly with me and some of my co workers its ridiculous! haha I like that you included the "best" boater ever guy as well to offset the "other" boaters. That sounds like an awesome guy to fish with! The other guys, well... good grief some of that nonsense sounds awful!
