  1. What are you setting the magnetic brake and centrifugal brakes to? I set my Spartacus to 7 on the magnetic break and 2 on the centrifugal. I am assuming that you have set the tension knob slightly tight so that the lure falls at a controlled pace? Also, what size lures are you throwing?
  2. Are you sure that it was the bass hitting the nightcrawlers? Bluegills love them and will bite the ends of them and take them off the hook quickly.
  3. Look at the teeth on the gears, do they look like they are scratched or chipped?
  4. I had multiple quantities of the 2 items. Sorry for the confusion.
  5. More than likely they are using multiple shipments to complete your order. I ordered 2 different items and got them in 3 separate shipments. Not sure how they stay in business with all those extra shipping costs but I love their prices.
  6. You can also try the Zman Slim SwimZ, it's 2.5" and has pretty good action in the water.

The wide butt seems to stop the stock hook from doing its job. I swapped it out with a big treble hook and it seems to do better. The wires are a bit thin for my liking on the smaller 5/8 version.
  8. I had the 6'6 casting rod and still have the 7' spinning. I like those rods a lot. Even though it's a composite blank, it is light, sensitive and pretty darn strong. The 7' MH should be fine for the lures that you listed. I think that rod should be able to handle lures around 1 oz without issues. I love the way the rod looks, very elegant. I would have kept the 6'6 rod, but I prefer the 7' length.
  9. I have a 7' MH and the power seems correct. I use that rod for practically everything, from wacky worms to spinnerbaits/buzzbaits to small swimbaits. It is a very versatile rod. An awesome one at the price that you got it for.
  10. Good luck. Is there a tracking number provided?
  11. You can use bass gear for redfish. But it might be better to use a softer rod instead of XF actions since the redfish can get pretty big, you don't want the hooks to rip out. Spinnerbaits, swimbaits and topwater walking baits work with them. I see a lot of people use spinning gear with them because it tends to get window out in the open where they roam.
  12. My order was canceled too. Any my Paypal payment was canceled. I sent the seller an email but did not hear back. Oh well, I tried but at least nothing was lost.
  13. I just pulled the trigger on the Tatula CT. I trust eBay enough to know that if something happens, they will back me up.
  14. You can never have too many worms.
  15. Thanks for the heads up guys. Just got 16 bags of the 10" worms in black!!
  16. The strike king triblade buzzbait is very slow and readily available at Walmart.
  17. I've tinkered with the idea of removing the bails on my spinning reels....eliminating something else that could go wrong (bail spring). There are several videos on youtube that shows how to do it. I just have not found a way to cut it off and look as clean as I'd like it to.
  18. Funny....which one is the Frog Rod?
  19. I use a snap with my spinnerbaits (in fact with all my baits). I have mainly closed looped wires for my spinnerbaits. For the R bend wires, I do use the small dental rubber bands or wire ties to close off the R bend.
  20. I tried deeper sonar and i really liked it. It was able to give me clear readings of the depth, bottom, and water temps. I like that it is compact and did not take up a lot of room. I am not sure how accurate the fish finding feature is, but i use it mostly for the 3 items listed above. I think that it would definitely be a good addition for a kayak fisherman.
  21. It doesn't just look like a knock off....it is a knock off.
  22. Yup, that's how it is done
  23. I love the clackin raps. I had one of my best fishing day with one. I hated to see them discontinued. Now when I see them in stores, I pick up as many as possible. I wish my DSG had more in stock. I love the loud single rattle!
  24. What helped with the noise for me was to put a slight coat of oil on the drum. Give it a try.
  25. It should be in the clearance section. The items are buy 5 get 5 free. I've seen the signs at all the DSG stores in VA.
