  1. Did you say 60K? You just blew my mind.
  2. So you've never used your one senko to see if it was a bass catcher?
  3. The hair bands do not cut into the worm. But if left on the worm for too long they do stretch and do not hold the body as tight.
  4. I use a 3" grub or paddletail to add a little tail action to the beetle spin. It works really well.
  5. I have a few and I don't know how to use that style wire bait keeper. I just looked it up, I think I have the older version bait keeper. The new ones look normal.
  6. I can't tell if you like the structure bug or not ?
  7. Looks good to me. But I don't think that you need that swivel in front of the first snap. The Jika Rig should not cause line twists.

  9. nice pick up
  10. I can't see very clearly but do the price tags say $2.xx?
  11. I have a friend that had a couple. He loved them. The lasted him about 15 years and was still super smooth. But it got to the point that the replacement parts were getting hard to find. He had buy damaged reels to strip them for parts. He sold them for a premium a couple of years ago.
  12. That makes sense. Thank you.
  13. I am assuming that you bent the top of the blade back. Any idea what would happen if I bent the blade forward? I have the original chatterbait and also a redfish chatterbait.
  14. Is there a trick to keeping the chatterbait from rising up too much on the retrieve? I tried using a slim trailer and it helped a little. I read some people bending the blade back to help it start vibrating faster. But I was wondering if bending the top of the blade forward would help with keeping it down?
  15. You can also try Zman trailers. They will last longer against pikes.
  16. The is off topic. I understand that losing lures is part of fishing. But I personally hate leaving lures in bushes and rocks because I know that in some of the places that I fish, kids do go swimming. I would feel bad if someone got hooked on the hooks that I left behind. Has anyone heard of cases where someone was hooked accidentally while swimming?
  17. I have a Johnson Minnow but have never used it. The metal weed guard is super stiff. Will that keep the fish from getting hooked?
  18. How big are the colorado blades? The retrieve should have slightly more resistance, but it should not be overwhelming. I throw a size 5 colorado blade on a 7:1 reel and it feels ok to me. It wouldn't hurt to try your slower ratio caster and see how it feels.
  19. I agree with Ajay. Bass don't pull hard enough to make a difference.
  20. Not sure if you have tried 7-11, but my local ones have Water Gremlin lead sinker combo packs in the back of the store. I bet no one thinks to buy fishing tackle (except for live worms) from 7-11.
  21. Yes, I cut off about 1/2 inch from the body so it does not stick out too far past the skirts. I mostly just swim it at a moderate pace, the legs flap like crazy. I have not tried it on a shakey head, but I am sure it would work well.
  22. Wow, that's a pretty sizable difference.
  23. I put it on the back of a 1/4 oz jig as a trailer. I can fish it on the bottom or use it as a swimjig.
  24. I have used a Kalin's Sizmic Toad on my swimjig. I rig it vertical to make the legs look more like a tail.
  25. I use snaps but not the swivel part. I change my lures often and I typically fish at night with only one rod. The snaps are a lifesaver when changing lures in the dark.
