My crankbait box stores a lot of them .

The top one is a jointed Bomber Long A Minnow . I never owned a jointed one .

I use to fish the Mississippi a lot .Targeting Rip Rap banks and rock dykes mostly . The Bomber Flat A in chartreuse was my bait .One day I caught seven species on a single dyke . Largemouth , walleye , white bass , crappie , pike , drum and bowfin .

Details are important but I would rather use a spinnerbait with wrong blades and color but correct weight than one with the right blades , color and wrong weight .Weight is a detail too .

Only goal I have is to keep on keeping on .

What stands out to me is the number of small coves . Man , that north band looks like a good area to put the trolling motor down and go junk fishing until a pattern is found .

I like crankbaits on steep banks . If there is to much vegetation to throw them then a spinnerbait is my next choice .

The diamond file on a Leatherman multi tool is an excellent hook sharpener . I sharpen all kind of hooks on the water in just a few seconds .

A few years back I was fishing this mud hole with a 1/8th ounce Beetle Spin . I watched a bass wake from about 10 foot away , track that little spinner lure down and eat it . So I dont over-think blades . I have to use something ,so its usually the willow /Colorado combo . Double willows would work just as well .

I dont think it makes a bit of difference . If the water is chocolate milk then maybe blades with more thump works better , maybe . I use a willow / colorado combo almost 100 per cent of the time , clear and stained . If a bass hits one set of blades it probably hits another.

The meat looked red like whites .

I'm going to have to replace someone with Aldo Rosado . He was a very colorful character that was only on here a short time . Infamous for his love of a pink Rattle Trap . Wasnt very popular and was made fun of but... I googled him and think he was legit as far as catching fish goes . Him being a pro angler was questionable. Some place I found a video of him catching fish in a most unconventional way . He thinks outside the box and I would spend a day with him .
