  1. I made that booboo a few times .
  2. Fish over the moss is a productive approach . I like spinnerbaits a lot . Their depth can be controlled easily .
  3. I have three favorites / Spinnerbait , buzzbait and crankbait .
  4. I have enough experience that I trust myself to make good decisions on the water with no pre set conditions . If things are not happening and I'm just going through the motions , that is not good . I'll make some sort of change just to get my head back in the game .

  7. I have always enjoyed taking off on my bicycle to the Mississippi river by myself . I would have worms , catfish bait , box of wheaties and crappie jigs . I met other kids down there who were doing the same thing . We were the definition of river rats .
  8. Forget it . Wife changed her mind and we are now going to Table Rock for two weeks . She wants to be closer to restaurants and stores . I hope my fishing is better than the previous half dozen times I've been there . I might visit Pomme this fall .

  11. The old jig and eel was popular before the jig and chunk . It will catch .
  12. Do you fan your weed guards ? Trim them up , bend them to make them more flexible . What are your weed-guard modifications ?
  13. Black jig n pig . pork . Caught it from Mississippi river backwaters that was protected by a levee . Lots of big bass in those places .

  15. I pulled a buzzbait out of a tree yesterday and spotted a second one . but it was to high .

  17. If you have a shooting range nearby you can collect lead pretty easily from the berms . Its just laying there .
  18. If I already know its a good spot then I'll try different approaches and spend thirty minutes or so there before moving on . If I just happen to spot a bunch of fish on my depth finder then I'll usually just fire a cast or two . I cant ID bass from other fish .
  19. I have four Piscifun Phantoms . So far I have not one complaint . One of them is going on its fourth year , has caught a thousand bass and performs like new .
  20. Bass like to hang around stuff . So I'll just start junk fishing around stuff . If theres a decent population of bass I'll eventually be fishing where bass are .
  21. Stopped at a pond for a bit today . Silted in moss infected hole with muddy water . Caught 4 bass . a 3 , 4, 5 and 5.3.Only took one spinnerbait with me . Chartreuse with gold turtle back blades . My favorite early spring spinnerbait .
  22. This one . Had some spectacular days with it .
  23. As far as selfies , I dont even use a tripod anymore . There is always something to prop the camera with, set the timer to 10 seconds and click .
  24. Social entertainment is what bowling night is for . I fish alone mostly . I'm quieter , can get the boat positioned correctly , get all the good cast and catch all the fish .
