  2. After several minutes of diligent research my Santee Cooper team is as follows A: Palanuik B" New C Christie D Mosley E: Auten
  3. I cant tell you . The only time I have used them are in the summer .
  4. Watching Stetson miss those skip cast to that big bass makes me feel a little better about my skipping skills .
  5. I have found some brush piles that are super thick . I think they are made out of buck brush . Crappie love the things . Bluegills hang out there too . I discovered that a stick worm is the best thing to throw in there . They dont have anything appendages or protuberances stands out to grabs the attention of the little fish . I dont even toss my all time favorite Jelly Worms in there because I'm afraid the little boogers will grab that little spade tail .
  6. Thats a good looking pattern .
  7. When it comes to T rigged baits , I like purples june bug , bama bug... Spinnerbaits, dull bait-fish patterns , not the bright whites and chartreuses that the bass are bombarded with except in spring . Cranks , bright colors deep then more natural shallow .
  8. I like them all and go through stages of my favorites . This past season I really got into Texas rigged Yum Dingers with a 5/16th ounce weight . Bama Bug was a color I kept running out of .
  9. I was having a particularly tough summer day . Bass were just slashing at cranks . A couple of fish were hooked in the face and that was it . Eventually I came up with the idea of a suspending jerkbait . Tied on a Rapala X Rap and that was the ticket . It was a slobber-knocker after that .
  10. Texas rig . I never got into wacky rigging . Where I fish it just doesnt seem feasible .
  11. They have saved my butt many times but I rarely use them . What about you ? What lures do you not use enough and you know thats a mistake that needs correcting ?
  12. My cousin got me started into serious bass fishing and I had to remind him to quit banging the boat . LOL
  13. I still use those hooks for toads you clued me in on .
  14. I would try a chatterbait for a few cast , then replace it with a spinnerbait too . The chatterbait just didnt feel "right" . Last year I fished a stream for smallmouths , the chatterbait felt right and a few fish were caught .
  15. I have an answer . A big Bagleys Shad crankbait , made for stripers . I bought that thing thinking it would get big bass to strike . Never caught a fish on it . When the lip fell off I was finished with it . Thats an experiment that didnt succeed . Also a big wooden musky jitterbug for night fishing . Not a fish . I gave up on it .
  16. med diving crankbait , Spinnerbait jig
  17. I'm trying to think of one . I caught on to jigs first time it was used .
  18. I always have a hatchet in the vehicle and looking for a reason to use it. Millers in bottles around a camp fire and a hatchet , good times . Do it often .
  19. I wish I had one of those lures that never fails .
  20. I caught a lot of bass on the Excalibur spinnerbaits with counter rotating blades .
  21. I use old style pistol grip rods 5'6" or 6' . Its the only technique I use short rods on but I can walk a bait much easier with them .
  22. It would have been nice to have digital photography when I was a young man . I caught dozens of big bass from public spots that I have no pics of . Heres one on some Mississippi river back water .
  23. I have an antique spinner that resembles the one at the top of the add , except it reads Spalding and has a baseball stamped on the blade . It looks like a Buel .
  24. yeah . I dont know the sizes . I'm not blaming you , I should have looked into it further .
  25. Man . I got this today and its tiny . I thought it would hold the larger boxes . I'll toss it in the boat and throw misc stuff in it .
