I used my work trailer but sold it this year . My brother has a metal barn , I think I'll use it from now on .

Thats the way I do it and on the way to the area I take note of the thermocline and the depth most of the fish life is relating to . If I see a lot of life at say around 15 foot , thats where I start .

My Dads side of the family are all anglers . Catfish and crappie mostly . My moms side , none of them . I take after Dads side .

Bridge pilings are a good place to test the durability of crankbaits .I broke a lot of bills off the old Bagleys Diving B;s .

I would have caught more but my battery pooped put .There was still two hours of fishing time remaining .I had to oar back in against the wind .

First bass outing of the year . Caught 29 with a dozen over 15 inches . All on spinnerbait . This fat bottomed girl wasnt very long but ready to burst . Weighed 4 . 7 lbs .

I'd get there at 6 so I could be first in line and do some tailgating .

Were all ahole's in someones version .

Spoooks . I have caught a few fish with them but my hookup ratio is so lousy that I rarely toss one .. I can make them walk too .

If I see fish arches on good structure , I'm fishing it . I caught bass 40 foot on Twain one fall and the thermocline is never that deep in the summer . They were on an old highway .

I just purchased my fourth Piscifun Phantom , on sale for 50 bucks . After heavy use for three years they perform like new . Perfect , no deductions . I have more expensive brand name reels , I like the Phantoms better than all of them .

Clear water is not my forte . When I do encounter it , tubes have played a large part of my success .

Not moss but chara algae . I catch lots of bass from it and casting accuracy is key . Spinnerbaits and buzzbaits dropped in key spots like openings , points or wood mixed in is the way to do it . Underhand tosses are a must . I see people all the time throwing the same baits with high arcing overhand lobs and they dont catch many . Toads and frogs can be retrieved over the top and accuracy isnt as crucial then . My spinnerbait rod has a sweet spot . A 1/2 ounce lure can be tossed with greater accuracy than 3/8 or 3/4.

I witnessed one eat a sparrow .

Half the lures I use fall into this category . The Bomber Long A minnow has worked so well for me that I cant comprehend why everybody isnt throwing it .

I dont like camping on a spot waiting for a big bass to show up . There Might be a big bass by a stick somewhere waiting for me to show up .

I dont know how to target the biggest bass in the lake other than fishing around cover and structure . The last few years big bass have become rare for me . I think there are a lot fewer big bass in the waters I'm fishing than there use to be .

The only time I add a trailer to a spinnerbait is when I need a little more weight for casting . A half a stick worm is what I usually use . If cast are consistently going a little left of target I'll add weight .
