  1. Manns Classic is a double Indiana .
  2. Never used one but no doubt they would work . I would try them early in the year while bass are still stupid and the water is muddy .

Just clip the hook and eye off of cheap jigs for the weight .
  4. I dont know why but I suck at rigging a piece of plastic on a jig straight . Usually I have to back it out and repeat ... Tail down is a little more forgiving .
  5. You expect to catch more ? In Virginia ? Crikey !
  6. Where I reside the water is always stained to muddy and tubes get used sporadically . When I visit an Ozark impoundment , tubes always get used . In my only two trips to Bull Shoals tubes have been the best producer for smallmouths .
  7. Bass dont abandon cover on calm days . I fish it the best I can and if I do a good enough job, bites will happen .
  8. I liked the Spring Lizard .I used it for big bass . This day I was getting skunked and told my fishing partner "If I'm not going to catch bass , I might as well not be catching big ones ." Put a spring lizard on a jig and caught the only bass of the day .
  9. I went to Bull Shoals last spring and found some in a store down there , you bet I snagged a few , all in black grape .
  10. Jelly worm listed five times . Its making a comeback .
  11. It changes but right now a Yum Dinger texas rigged with a 5/16th oz weight for pitching .
  12. In thick brush Texas rigged stick worms like Dingers are my thing right now , In more open water or sparse cover I'll use most anything . I still like jelly worms in deep water . Always had good luck with them .
  13. I didnt think I could skip until I did it with a Zman Popshadz . I can skip those things way up under objects . So now I know I can do it , I need to experiment with jigs and trailers to find the best one. When you watch experts do it they always follow through by raising their rods . I recently viewed a video where the guy explains why . This is to keep the line out of the water . If the line is on the water it creates drag .
  14. I recall Brauer winning a BASS event with a crankbait but pitching and flipping was his thing .
  15. A trailer is the only way I fish them .
  16. Here I was thinking that is my secret presentation that noone else did .
  17. There is always more than one lure that works well in the cover or structure targeted . I'll start with what I think is best and change if I have to . I'll almost always fish different covers and structures throughout the day . So I may throw at weeds , standing timber , laydowns , sunken brush , rip rap , points , coves , channel ledges... all on the same day .
  18. Calm or windy , I target cover wherever I can find it with same type of lures . I may scale down a bit in calm weather . Quiet presentations help immensely .
  19. I carry those too .
  20. No but I should . I keep band aids in my wallet . A few packs of alcohol swabs in the tackle bag would be wise .
  21. I rarely jiggle . Its just a straight lift and drop .
  22. Thats the best way to put it . Even though I caught bass on cranks since I started fishing , they were the "hardest to learn" to do well in deeper water .
  23. ...well , have you caught any fish ?
  24. I dont have a favorite , I buy whatever is available and sharpen them if need be . I do like my hooks to swing freely and keep them in place with a rubber disc poked out of a bicycle inner tube with a 1/4 inch hole punch . Those little disc are handy .
