High end spinnerbaits
Terminator , Excalibur and Strike King Spin Dance with the Oklahoma blades all caught loads of bass. I make my own and try to copy these three. The Fleck Weedwader with white Indiana blades is another favorite. Next time I order blades I will get some white ones to copy it.

Are Tubes Still a Thing?
I remember forgetting my soft plastics once. Searching through my gear I found a bag of Gitzits. I texas rigged them up with a 1/4 oz weight and didnt skip a beat . Caught largemouths shallow in cover and deep on points that day.

Proven methods that you just forget about
I havent fished a jig much the past few years. The places I've been fishing , Texas rigs have been so effective that I get tunnel vision and forget all about the jig.

What is your fishing Dogma?
Its not a competition. I fish for enjoyment. I can have just a good a time in a plastic boat as a bass boat. Social interaction is for bowling night .

I am stoopid for not throwing them more. Cast for cast I dont know if I ever thrown a more fish catching lure.- Why is bass fishing so popular?
Cool lures. When I was a kid and never bass fished, I would go to the sporting good stores and departments and just stare at the bass lures . They fascinated me. The first one I bought was a jointed Mirro lure. Second Storm Thin Fin. Dont know if i ever caught a fish with the Mirro lure but caught a lot on that Thin Fin.- High end spinnerbaits
The best spinnerbait fisherman I fished with threw the Manns Classic most of the time. He just made them work .- Fantasy Fishing 2024
This has been the biggest change in tournament fishing ever. I remember when Flipping changed fishing , that shift pales in comparison to beam shining. This is modern tourney fishing, I dont like it but it is what it is. I picked Cox the first two events and that was like opting for Fred Flintstone.- Favorite 1/4th oz. Buzz Bait ?
Lunker Lure.- When a front comes in
I dont mind fishing after a front , as long as its comfortable.- King of Lipless Crankbaits
Most of the time I use a lipless bait its put in deeper water and hopping it off the bottom . The Red Eye Shad is what I use and it gets big bites.- Fantasy Fishing 2024
What do you think winning weight will be? I went 68-10. Thats a big weight but these beam shiners catch a lot of big fish.- Help-Mental Block about muddy Water!’
Muddy water has two advantages that I know of. The fish are shallower and tighter to cover.- your favorite fishing-related hack
Most of the time I use premade skirts. I cant make them that good and they are easily changed. I do have living rubber , the elastic rings and a tool that spreads them but rarely use it anymore. Store bought skirts are the way to go for me.- High end spinnerbaits
I'm not convinced more vibration is better.- Why don't bass like the mud?
Largemouths thrive in the mud. During spawn they will seek out stumps , logs or other hard materials to nest. Like others have already stated, I caught them with muddy bellies.- your favorite fishing-related hack
I do exactly the same thing with a bicycle innertube.- squarebills, topwaters for lmb - do you switch them out or move a lot, or keep throwing in the same spot
When I fish from bank I carry one rod and a lot of times just one bait. The bait has to be cast easily and perform where I'm fishing . Crankbaits dont get a lot of playing time for me. They are just not versatile enough plus snag frequently. Spinnerbait's and Texas rigged worms cover pretty much anything I encounter.- The Muskie Jitterbug
- Your Go-To Lure
Another wormer here. Texas rigged 5 inch Yum Dinger in either Junebug or Bamabug. 5/16th oz weight. - Are Tubes Still a Thing?
