I made a bunch of those and keep forgetting about them . So I just rigged one up on my worm rod so at least it will be noticed next time.

The reason I bought a Long A in the first place was because it was castable on bait-casting gear . The reason why I have over a dozen of them is because they catch them.

I like the Bomber Long A in silver flash on bait casting gear with 12 lb mono. That mirror insert flashes white like a shad.. The model with three trebels , I think its 3/8th oz.

I like to throw the floating minnow baits post spawn along secondary points and cover in spawning coves and the banks leading away from said coves . Its a big fish pattern . I mostly let it set for awhile then gently twitch them but other retrieves can be employed. .

Looking at my team at 7:41 this morning and its blank . Did I screw up somehow or is everyone's blank?

Bass are moving shallow. Water temp in the mid to high 50's. Water 12 to 15 inches visibility. Spinnerbaits up the creeks on wood is killing it .

I fish a lake choked out with chara algae a lot with a spinnerbait . Sure the lure gets bogged down in it often but I have caught limit after limit with one. Short accurate cast at the edges and lanes presents the lures to a lot of bass and not much wasted water on the retrieve.

Marker buoys! I still use them a ton . lots of anglers dont even have them .

Me too . My boat does not handle strong winds . Its not a bass boat , its a deck boat and catches a lot of wind . Its comfortable though . Good for naps , I even slept in it over-night.

A lot depends on where you are fishing .Around these parts, pre spawn equals dirty water . Dirty water equals shallow cover . Shallow cover equals spinnerbaits . Connect the dots right , fish are caught.

When fishing a spinnerbait and catching bass on the outside below the mouth , the lure is probably being retrieved below the bass and they strike at the blades, hooking themselves under the mouth . If that happens more than once try retrieving higher.

For some stupid reason I have gotten away from fishing craws and need to get my head out of my a-- and start pitching again, especially now.
