If you have a pick up truck look into a Bass Hunter Bass Baby . It has wheels . I have one and can handle it by myself . I fish an irrigation ditch in it . Never seen another person there . Whoa . I just looked at the price of it . More than twice what I gave twenty years ago . I paid like 400 for it and now they are over a grand .

If lure B is new I might make a few cast with it just to see how it performs but then I'll stow it away until the time is right . I want to catch em all . I dont get tired of catching bass .

A duck hunter shot at me from about 100 yds away . I didnt get hit but pellets were dropping in the water all around me . I took the hint and moved .

I have arthritis in my neck and it pinches a nerve causing my fingers to go numb and pain . I got a pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond that is tapered , thinner in the middle , thicker on the edges . It has helped tremendously .

Back in the days of 5'6'hvy action rods , I set the hook extremely hard. With modern longer rods ,the cross their eyes hook-sets are not as common for me . There are still times though , when I hit em hard and straight up , trying to get them out of cover fast .

How long did you fish ?

An uncle and I "we were the same age" use to ride little 20 inch sting ray bikes , eight miles in the sweltering summer heat , to fish an irrigation ditch for bullheads . When finished we put them in a gunny sack and headed back . We made three stops on the way home , soaking the gunny sack in creeks and the Mississippi . Upon arriving at my house , the fish were dumped alive on the lawn ready for cleaning .

So many stories . I asked the neighborhood bully if he wanted to go fishing with me . A strategic decision on my part . He accepted and I never had any trouble with him . He got into a lot of fights , got into a lot of trouble , went to prison but he was always happy to see me when we would bump into each other .

I was Texas rigging around 15 foot deep and detected a strike . Very slowly I reeled a two lber to the surface then set the hook on it . I recall the bait had Riverside real Claw applied to it ..

I still I have a few . Havent used one in awhile . I still prefer the short rod for twitching or walking the dog but just not versatile enough to warrant taking one .

Worse autumn I have had in many a year . I'm planning on making a trip to a small lake that I havent visited for over twenty years . Hoping a change in scenery will help .

I'm guessing here . On an average day a half dozen or so . I'm not counting color switches

I have got on massive schools of small bass where everyone is the same size . Cast after cast catch a cookie cutter fish . Now if the dinks are shallow and spread out then there are probably bigger fish mixed in to . Thats been my experience . Find cover and try to picture where a nice bass may be . Dont complicate bass fishing more than it needs to be .

Who knows ? I dont mind catching dinks . Larger bass might be close by . If I tire of catching dinks then by all means I'll get a move on . Maybe deeper ,maybe fish down the bank .., just got to make some decisions and act on them . If the dinks are shallow then there may be a lunker shallow too , maybe elsewhere .

In Missouri , bass are everywhere . One doesnt need an expensive bass boat to enjoy good fishing , Small public waters are frequent.

I didnt know Zoom made a bait like that . It has a strong resemblance to Bagleys . Just googled it , they are selling for a pretty penny .

If the fishing is really tough I'll try picking apart cover with a Texas rigged something . I have been throwing a lot of Yum Dingers latley . Just Monday the bite was not happening and I ended up catching 8 by pitching to shallow wood on steep rocky banks .

Because of my profession I did not have a sleep schedule . I could not sleep all night . After retiring it took about 6 months to figure out that I'm a morning person . I tend to go to bed between 9 to 10 and rise before the sun .

He might be using the rod mentioned . The lure hes using tosses well with it .

Its a real bummer for me right now . Equipment failure has me grounded .
