  1. agree with this. i have the MGX model as well and it has been a great reel.
  2. these pics are awesome. i have ZERO fish, but i could stare at an aquarium for days!
  3. not even a fan of that song to be honest, but wow you guys are great. and as was already said, can't beat a good acoustic cover.
  4. today until 11PM ET Dick'sSportingGoods is having 20% off one item and free shipping online only.... today might be a good day to buy....
  5. Keep your eyes on the flea market section of this site. i have bought and sold some quality gear on here for much less than retail. many sites will offer some black friday discounts starting in the next week or two.
  6. AGREED, big thanks to all past, present and future!!! wishing my grandad was still here, his favorite day of the year!! proudest vet ever, Bill Crawford WW2 Navy Abercrombie DE-343
  7. nope. won't work. seriously don't know of a time that i wouldn't throw a wacky worm with confidence.
  8. pretty sure i had one of those you let go... and since let it go myself. they are fantastic reels with great line capacity too.
  9. absolutely terrible. thoughts for his family....
  10. i wouldn't cheap out either.... invizx has been good to me on the spinning reel and the sniper i put on my casting reel is great.
  11. been fishing these on my shimano crucial 6'8"M/XF with the pflueger supreme MGX spooled with 8lb invisx
  12. how's that powerpoint handle? you throwing this on a laptop or desktop?
  13. great question, second part of the internal debate i have going on..... could use my curado 51e's or chronarch ci4 151hg. BUT i'm also looking to purchase another rod around Black Friday and may look at Lew's Team Pro that i quite literally just posted a question about. thinking either way would likely spool up with something like 8-12lb flouro or maybe copoly.
  14. I'm in the market for a new reel and see that this one is on sale. I'd be looking at the TLP1SHZL 7.1:1 in particular. Any experienced users with this reel that can offer some opinions? Seems to have really good reviews all over the web, but I'm really interested to know how it might handle lighter lures with say 8 or 10lb flouro. thanks!
  15. d**n you............ but I honestly hoped you'd answer my question......
  16. i really like the netbait t macs and for a larger size worm, i like the super t macs. i have 3 worm colors: junebug, green pumpkin and black
  17. Looking for a new rod around the $200 price range (most of these will be with the upcoming 20% off for Black Friday). Any experience with these 3 rods? I actually have an Avid so know they're good rods, but can this particular model handle the lighter lures? Any other recommendations in this class that can handle lures down to 1/8 or 3/16 oz? Daiwa Zillion 6'6" M/XF 1/8 - 5/8 oz Shimano Poison Adrena 6'6" M/MF 3/16 - 3/4 oz St Croix Avid 6'9" ML/XF 1/8 - 1/2 oz Thanks!
  18. Nice going, dog looks happy too!

lots of rolls in that tide.....
  20. take the caps that slide over the end of the PVC tube and put them on the tube. Using a drill make a hole that goes all the way through both sides of the cap and the PVC tube. Find a lock or cable that will fit said hole and you have a lock. Seal the other end up using PVC cement and you're as theft proof as you can get....
  21. meh, rarely shop at either anyways (usually with a gift card someone gives me or something) prefer DSG for the brick and mortar and do most shopping online....
  22. bought some of those a while back to add a little flash to a weightless fluke. those blades were so small though that they didn't seem to work for what i wanted. on a drop shot with a smaller bait and hook you might have better results....
  23. i have a dobyns 705cb glass and love it for what you're looking for....
