Cleaning a Casting Reel
It's fine, wipe it off.

Best Fluorocarbon knot??
The best is subjective. My choice would be the one you tie the 'best'. It doesn't matter what knot you use if it's not tied correctly. I've been using the uni knot for years and it hasn't let me down yet.

To those who think highend braid doesn't bleed...
Any braid I've tried has bled. Some are just worse than others. A rough guess would be about 10 different lines from varying companies. Personally the color of the braid doesn't make a difference to me. I'm looking for a smooth and quiet line. I'm a big fan of 832 and I have it on a lot of reels, but I'm slowing switching to J braid. Tough to beat 330 yards of an 8 carrier braid for $20.

Line diameter comparison chart
I like Sunline products too. I use their super sniper fc and super natural mono a lot.

Daiwa Exceler 4000H line capacity?
A 200/300 size casting reel would be better suited for the job. Those baits aren't too heavy so you could even get by with a heavy flippin stick, though it's still not the best choice for the job.

Line diameter comparison chart
Tom, I just quickly picked 4 lines that get mentioned a lot on here. If I have some free time at work today I'll try to add a few more to the post.

Line diameter comparison chart
Just thought I'd throw this together and hopefully it will help some members out. There seems to be a fair amount of line questions on here. Remember to choose your line by diameter and not it's rated test. One companies #10 could be another companies #12 line.

No Memory Flourocarbon
Fluoro is largely a get what you pay for kind of deal. So I'd steer clear of the cheap stuff. Tatsu is the #1 choice bit pricey. A good fluoro that isn't too pricey is Sunline sniper super fc. Add in some kvd line and lure conditioner and it's even better. I didn't use it on the #14 and it was just fine.

Bocca bearings?
Bocas are nice but check out zpi sic bearings.

Carbontex Drag - Dry or Greased?
I run them dry. The drag grease is mainly for heat dissipation and in bass fishing they don't make long enough runs to worry about that. If I do anything at all... I'll dab my finger in Cal's and rub it in to my fingers. Then when I touch the metal drag washers it'll get a very light coating.

Stop overthinking it. Match up line diameters the best you can, and go fish.

Daiwa Exceler 4000H line capacity?
Almost any specs you could want on a reel are usually listed by the manufacturer on their website. This reel is no different. It showed me anything I could want to know in about 5 seconds. Google can be a great tool when utilized. Give it a try sometime. It might surprise you with all its knowledge.

Just switch to a quality tungsten weight.

Shipping Reels?
Usps has a flat rate priority box that's square. I always have to ask for them though at the counter. You can fit 2 reels in one of them.

Best Knot CXX
I've been using #10 cxx for a couple months now as a cheaper alternative to yozuri hybrid. It's only as a leader, but that means I have to use 2 knots. My joining knot is the albright special and my terminal knot is the uni. Both haven't failed yet. Unless I've purposely made it fail when getting a bad snag. Even then it still takes way more force than I feel it should to break the line.

REvo SX gen 3 spool, where to buy.
I'd start by contacting the company. Usually a pretty safe bet.

Show off your Stuff
The specs are the same but in the xx world that doesn't exactly mean anything. I can say I use my jbs a lot. It's a fun squarebill and popper rod. If they are remotely close you won't be disappointed.
