My all time favorite is ....you get on the lake....travel down or up several miles...start fishing...bout a half hour or so goes by and all of a sudden they ask...what time you thinking about going in...(then they give reason they have to be back home in a couple hours)....errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Now...If I take someone new it's......meet me at the ramp.....no hard feelings.....k

Go by myself alot.....it ain't bad. That way I don't have to apologize for the tuff fishing!!!

It's a rare day that I lose fish ... but I also don't fish very deep most often. Don't use ice as I feel fishing coming from warm/hot water into a cold bath just ain't good. I know I don't like going from hot into sudden cold. I do use G-juice too and keep the ol livewells going on auto and add fresh water every so often.

Do not like putting myself in spots where I could be "bait"

Whites are fun to catch and are eating machines and fast. Downside...I tell my grandkids and others .....DO NOT BRING THEM IN BOAT......let go over the side. They are pooping machines....!!!!!!

I was driving the ol boat back to the ramp Wednesday night...water temps low 80's for a change and in a sweat soaked t-shirt. Air temp was in 70's I believe....felt a little chill!!!!! hmmmmm....I thought .... it's only august.

Love fishing new waters and have been blessed to fish quit a few thanks to BASS and FLW and moving to Tennessee. Fishing the Erie would be cool but was blessed with smallies on the Columbia River in both size and numbers and little boat traffic so was spoiled there. Am hoping to get to Lake Lanier some day and my second choice is....gosh...not sure. Love it all.....

Smiles....drum to me fight kind of different and so do most catfish....darn flatheads are in a league all their own!!!

Fished the Thursday nighter last night and it was beautiful to say the least. Calm water after a rain...water temps had cooled to the low 80's. Launching was at 5:00 and there were fish chasing by the ramp so we thought ....hmmmm...lets give this five. Well...that plan went into the dumpster....right when they surfaced I got snagged with my favorite schoolie baits and it was no more....sadness. After the five we headed down lake and actually had our three fish limit in two hours....amazing. (It's been very tough) Anyway the last half hour we pull into one of our favorite spots....my partner had given me a crankbait to use. Caught a short and thought...hmmmmm...maybe. Then was bringing this baby over some deeper wood and the rod loads up.....OMG....this is big...possible kicker....taking line....(some of you have been here) Net is in my partners hands....then.....the head appears....it's about a 15 to 20 pound flathead......sadness. The good news was I get the crankbait back...only one hook was in the beast. Oh.....we did pull off the win which was sweet with a little over six pounds for three fish.

Interesting........I work the course on Mondays to help with my golf habit and look for balls a day or two a week to help with the fishing habit and diabetes.

After 60 plus years have it narrowed down pretty good. Fishing....fishing .... fishing. Golfing with the lil lady and last but not least .... playing with grandkids and family

My grandson and I were fishing the lake by the house and in a moment of excitement one of my favorite outfits jumped over the side of the boat. Not sure which of us bumped it in but it was a moment of silence for sure. Tried dragging a treble hook with a texas rig and caught a drum!!! Sheesh. About two weeks later a friend dives for the outfit and was just about to call it quiets when he went abut 30 yards out from where I dropped it and found it just dragging his hand along bottom. Guess water was cloudy along the bottom out in about 25 ft. Not sure how the outfit went out and upstream in the lake. Guess the plastic grub I had on there was powerful

Good for you...that's cool. You probably have the area all to yourself in the land of slime rockets. It's pretty down there. I remember Culuby and Sunset having some toads a number of years ago.

Have heard in the past for as long as you can hold your breath yourself....not sure if this is true but seems reasonable.

Have watched this show with my son and family since it first came out several years ago. We make it a family night and watch it all together and we laugh...shake out heads etc. I like the one lady who did all the work on her place. Sauna...fireplace the whole bit....but then just left!!!! I too wouldn't mind giving it a shot but being type 2 it might be kind of rough. Also like the one where the guy was really talking it up to friends and family and then saw the bear track and tapped out.....:)
