  1. bummer hale. was that spot near the sun-sentinel building? LOL. maybe if you write a letter to shimano, they might have a soft heart and replace your gear. you never know. that canal is not very deep.
  2. i always try to eat a good breakfast. coffee in the a.m., lemonlime gatorade, water and lots of oranges. there is one lake i fish that has the largest lo-quat tree i have ever seen, and in the summer that thing has golfball sized fruits. there have been numerous times that i was so dialed in to my fishing, that i don't eat at all.must be the chronic.

  9. can someone please help. i have a 17 foot pathfinder flats boat. i keep losing prime in my gas line. i can run for a while, then my engine starts to bog down, which i then start pumping the ball to regain prime. i have replaced the entire gas line, new ball, and clip that connects to the engine. i am still losing prime. any other areas i should check? could there be something in the engine that is causing this? i have a 50 horse yamaha. any ideas fellas? please help. oh yea, the gas tank is in the front of my boat so i have roughly 12-15 feet of hose before it reaches the engine.
  10. thank you gentlemen. how can i tell if they are original? as far as tuning goes cart, how do i tune these baits? thanks for all of your help.
  11. i gave it a c. reason being, because anytime you can see exactly what a pro is throwing, that alone has to be worth a "c ". i try to block out what they are saying, and just focus on their equipment. espn needs new blood, zona is a kook, tommy sanders is basically a non-fisher, and thank god jerry mcginnis wasn't there to "track" the movements of a couple of bass. i sure did like that delgado chick. too bad is wasn't warmer---i wonder if espn has bikinis for their female reporters!
  12. i have about 15 of these cranks, some have the snap swivel in front, some have split rings. when i swim them in my pool, they don't swim right (imo) are they supposed to have an over erratic wiggle? i also throw them on braid--does that effect they way they swim? when and where would you use a wiggle wart?
  13. a year and a half ago i had a pool put in my backyard ($20,000). i can honestly say that baits have been in pool more than i have. i am convinced it has made me a better angler. i agree with catt, everyone who his a beginning basser should try it.
  14. i have 2 of the rain frogs. i have caught fish on them. all of the hollow frogs work imo, its just finding the one you dig the most. for me it's the swamp donkey.
  15. nice bassn. thats what i'm talkin about. when are you guys gonna get together again? i have played golf at okeeheelee, but never fished. do they allow bank beaters? is that a tube you were chunkin?

soft plastic frogs- horny toad, canetoad, and paca toad. hollow body frogs- swamp donkey, spro if you are in florida, a frog is a must imo. some days they want that frog screaming across the water. other day they want that frog stationary. trick is finding what they want. you might want to consider a snake as well. not the hannon snakes, but either a homeade or i use a black trick worm and swim it across the top. hope this helps.
  17. right on avid! my son is 3 and i can't wait for that day to come. you're right, today was beautiful!
  18. ya get what ya pay for. if you spent 4 bucks, what did you expect?
  19. thanks hale. i just went to that site. give me the skinny so i don't have to read the entire page. is there a fee? how does it work? i only have a 30 minute break before i pick my students up from P.E., so my time is limited. sounds pretty cool though. i still say we have a little tourny on blvd's lake, we all throw in $10, $20 bucks and we walk the bank. we will have to use the honor system though. how's that sound?
  20. lets do that. i am all in. if you ever want to go night fishing, i know a spot that has some monsters. in about a month when the water drops some more, this spot i know will be on fire.
  21. just funnin bro. those older lakes hold some toads. i fished a little dime size lake last night from 4:30-6 and caught 22 fish about that same size. also got 5 peacocks. i guess it could be worse, our lakes could be frozen.

avid how deep is your lake? i have dove in the dirtiest, darkest, scariest water to retrieve an outfit. it really isn't that bad to just dive in and get it. if you know exactly where you dropped it in, i will come up and get it for you. i live in boca. catch is, you take me fishing in this lake of yours.
  23. mix it up a little. anybody can catch dinks in the same lake. is this the only place you fish? come on you are showing pics of dinks--you are making us florida guys look weak.LOL. how bout havin a little tourny on that lake? $20 a head and we all walk the bank? wsy?
  24. i fished the new river last weekend and caught over 30 small snook using live shrimp. hey mekanik what beach did you get that monster. before they re-opened pompano pier, i was crushing pigs like that there. i know a couple of bridges that i will go to when the tides are right.
  25. i catch an equal amount of fish using many different stik baits. certain places the senko is king, other places the stik-o is king. somedays that want nothing to do with either and all they want is a gambler ace. another option would be to save all of your soft plastics, make a mold and pour them yourself.
