  1. Keep calm and purchase P5. Buy your casting reels by Monday tho.
  2. It's cool if you don't want to watch the video, but maybe don't discuss the video if you haven't watched it.
  3. Free Rig baits: 2.8 Bellows Gill: I like it. Fish like it. I prefer it over a Bull Flat or Hira Tailor on the free rig. Smells like corn chips. Bottom Up Bulls Hog: If the Dolive Beaver is the four seam, this is the change up. Very soft; expect the end to blow out from the hook eye after one or two fish. I'd like to try it as a jig trailer. 3" Raid Egu Chunk: Craw profile that kind of does the free rig glide. The 3.5" has very large claws and I'd use that for targeting green fish only. Both make a nice jig trailer.
  4. 18 Bantam, yeah. The newer Bantam A is a much better all rounder. Feels fine on a 7'3 Adrena. Feels good in general. I also don't use my Zillion for jerkbaits. Tatula 80 goes zoom with 12 lb fluorocarbon. The only reason I prefer the Zillion is my monkey brain likes Magforce and cannot figure out Shimano braking.
  5. 50 lb Power Pro. Party like it's 2013.
  6. Sniper is good. 18 lb is where it gets squirrely for me. No real desire to try anything else.
  7. Braid when it starts to fray. FG knots every trip. If something happens to compromise it on the water, I'll likely just put that setup down. Fluorocarbon constantly.
  8. New colors are 🔥 though. Morning Goby is going to pull every Smallmouth out the lake.
  9. Yeah they really do not expect you to flip a fat Roboworm after they've seen Beavers all day.
  10. I help out a small business from time to time. Not fishing; different hobby. Don't do it.
  11. Lots of extra rods. Shipping tubes has been 💩 lately.
  12. They're OK. The clamshell takes up a lot of space. A 4/0 Superline seems to kill the action and that's the hook I want to use. They look killer on the back of a Bladewaker though.
  13. I like it on the Ryugi Weighted Pierce
  14. Thanks for the write up. This is not a US market rod; they're mostly Japanese lengths and actions. The price from Japan is also pretty good. I have a Swamp Survivor that I like a lot.
  15. Say itttt. On topic, SV3 is a nice spinnerbait. I like the tails better here than on a Jamaica Boa. Smallmouth like it too.
  16. Early and late season with a light wire hook, Loomis 843. I have the old NRX but a GLX would be better (more traditional MBR action). In late spring and summer, with a full size jig and a stouter hook, a solid MH rod with a bit deeper bend is good. I'm bouncing between an Enox BMJ (probably ALX's best rod) and a previous gen Adrena 73MHRF right now. A softer H rod is great too; I used to swim jigs on the old 72H Zodias with good success. Sensitivity in a swim jig rod is more important than you might think. A lot of the time sure, they'll hit the jig like it owes them money, but you need to be able to detect and react to those inhale-from-behind-and-swim-at-you bites. Plus it's nice to be able to pitch the jig around and feel bottom, crawl stumps, etc.
  17. When they say the Antares get cold in cold weather, they mean it. Plus when you ding em, it's noticeable. I would buy neither because the Zillion exists. I find 6 pin SVS to be fussy and don't care for it.
  18. Pointer and Duo here. I used to catch bigs on an X-rap Shad in the Perch pattern; might have to pick that back up.
  19. Earlier SV reels, yes, definitely. Current SV reels, less so. SV-boost seems to have solved the issue for normal everyday bass fishing, though we'll see how the new Tatula SV performs.
  20. Wind picks up, I pick up a spinnerbait. I'm only adding a trailer if I need weight, color, or more action.
  21. 15 lb Trilene is larger in diameter than 20 lb Sniper. Of course it breaks at higher than "100%"; they're testing 20+ lb line.
  22. Just Googled the Fish N Fool knot, and I would not tie that knot with fluorocarbon. Just pass it through the eye once and you have a Uni knot, which is fluoro friendly. I don't know if that's exactly the issue with the Hybrid, but I would not suggest it with the Invizx.
  23. Nothing on an SV3 or a War Eagle usually. Paddletail if I want more weight or a pop of color.
