Try a new (to you) plastic over the past couple of seasons and really like it? Share what it is and how you use it here.

I just started flukes last year. They quickly became a staple lure for me. I fish them weightless, with a 3/0 offset worm hook attached with a loop knot for better movement.

I also started fishing curly tail grubs on a jighead. I have found them to be great lures when the bass want something smaller and slower. And grubs fall below most folk's radar.

Rage tail Scounbug T rigged. Been a Ragetail user forever . Another great bait. Show em something different

Zoom Z-Craw, Zoom Z-Hog, and the Rage Craw.  I've been Texas rigging them, until they get too beat up.  Then I use them as trailers.

Yamamoto via GSM has come out with so many new plastics, it’s going to take me more than one season to give them all a try.

Pro Point Lures Machete Minnow. Great bladed jig trailer and quite durable.

Started fishing speed worm style worms about two years ago, the turbo fattie from z-homosapiens is my favorite. Replaced the keitechs for me, the Florida strains like the long skinny profile much better for some reason.

New to me?  The 4” senko.  I’ve fished it as a Ned and as a Texas rig with a 1/32 needle nose.  I don’t like that/when I have to, but it certainly works.  I’ve caught fish to over 4# with it.  I’ve had 20+ fish evenings on it.  I have 5” senkos, but they just never caught on in my rotation.  The first time I tore the head up on one (from the grass, not fish) and turned it into a Ned bait it was Katy bar the door.

There are a couple on deck that need more time to soak before I proclaim them favorites, but the 5” Yamamoto cut tail has some potential. The missle Ned bomb has been very good also, and might make the list by the end of the season.  I have the scounbug and clean up craw in the rotation right now with limited success so far.

While not new, I started throwing senkos this year.

What’s a senko?

I tried the zoom ultravibe worms this year. What a great producing bait. And durable. And the crush city mayor has done very well as a trailer for me and on an underspin.

Just today for the first time I threw a 6 sense flush 5.2 and it needs a nose weight to compare to the action of a Zoom fluke. Imo

Fluke on a 5.0 hook darts better and stays under the surface better.

Rage Lobster. Rage craw is a half measure. breaking bad no more half measures GIF

CrushCity Freeloader and Mooch Minnow have been catching me a lot of fish.
The Ned Bug from Great Lakes Finesse has been solid too

New(ish) to me, 4" & 5" deps death adder.  I fish it like a weightless fluke, free rig it, light weight jighead (2.6g my fave), T-rig, spinnerbait trailer, and my new favorite scrounger plastic.  It is super versatile, reliable, quasi-durable, but not easily sourced or cheap.  I need to spend more time with the 3" & 6" versions.

That is a good looking trailer, though.

Starting out with them I just threw some 5" Zoom swimmin' super flukes. That 7lber I posted in another bladed jig thread the other day was actually on that trailer in baby bass. Breaking Bream produced a lot for me, as well.

Switched to the Zako and been a convert since.

This past season I have been trying out those pin tail trailers like the Crush City Freeloader and the Spunk Shad. The Freeloader is okay, I've caught fish with it but it seems very stiff. I like the Spunk Shad a lot, far more action in the water than the Freeloader or the Zako, but I haven't seen the success I get with the Zako so far. It does seem to hunt easier with the Spunk Shad but time will tell.

I've got two. The Crush City Bronco bug and the Crush City Freeloader. I use the bronco bug on a Texas or Carolina rig fished in a pretty traditional manner and the freeloader I use as a trailer on spinnerbaits, swim jigs, and chatter baits and I also put it on the back of a scrounger. Now that summer id here I am gonna try it on a Carolina rig and see what happens. You'd be surprised at how many soft plastics make a good C-rig bait. The short answer? ALL OF THEM!

A Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper on an Owner Flashy Swimmer has been a consistent producer for Wes and I.   The xZone Swammers are great too.

Please Lord, don't let me buy any more plastics!
