Hopefully, that means some people will choose not to clog my route for a while...especially this weekend. I am probably 150 miles from that spot, but I am hopeful. Holiday Mondays are just stupid on 95....unfortunately, I have few options, other than leaving at dark-thirty or taking a vacation day on Tuesdays. There is exactly one viable alternate, and it is 50-60 miles longer and often crowded, as well.

Thank you. That's the issue I have with Onos. I know know others have better outcomes. But I mistreat my glasses and want a pair that will withstand a pretty good beating. I fondly recall a pair of Oakleys I had maybe16 years ago that would tolerate tons of abuse and always looked and performed like new. I still remember the golf course and hole where I think I lost them. No plastic lens sunglasses I have had since measured up....Still searching

I have amber and gray...and I like both equally. My challenge has been getting polarized readers that I love, and that last. I have 2nd pair of Onos, which are great new, but neither lasted well. Best I've had were cheapie from a pop-up store outside local BX several years ago. $40 with lifetime guarantee. Same stand showed up for several years. I'd pay the $10 warranty fee each year and get new ones. But that gal retired and now I'm shopping again. I may try Shady Ray's next. If anyone has experience with them, let me know.

This seems to be an overlooked part of the discussion. A 'stiff' or thick plastic on a screwlock shakyhead fished on 10# or less FC has the potential to be disappointing. I will say that the Siebert Zenith is one exception, since the gap is good, the wire is light enough, and the point angle works well. I also use MegaStrike (screwlock) heads, but only with heavier line/leader

I like the Tokyo Rig, also. It fishes better around brush for me. For points, I tend to prefer the swing head, just because having the line tied to the weight gives me better bottom feedback, I think.

Time to figure out what works for you. I say stop buying. Unless you run out of something you find that you love. You will spend years giving that many different lures an honest chance

I use 11/16 and 3/4 the most (though I did buy some lighter ones to try this year). I throw the heavy ones on a 7'4" MHF Helium, 40# braid with 15# leader, almost always with a Magnum Rage Bug. I tried a few different wobble heads, including tungsten, but I have gone back to the original, Biffle Hard Head. The hook ups are better and the bottom feedback is as good as tungsten.

I still use it. Usually with a leader. I tried it in Ontario and it was a disaster there. They got a lot sharper rocks than we do in VA/NC. I can cast a senko about 650 yards with 18# Gliss...lol....thin and sensitive...not the most abrasion resistant, but I do skip docks with it. I have a couple spinning reels that are going on 3rd or 4th year of same spool of Gliss.

What would you propose? I am a huge fan of catch, weigh, release. An elite pro would also just toss the bleeder back. And it may well live....Unless it was six pounds, and then it goes in the live well, because you can weigh a dead fish...you just give back a few ounces. Other than possibly making sure the release isn't a floater for five or ten minutes, I'm not sure what they should do.
