Dx704C Questions??
The T-rigs and jigs will be more than fine on that rod. While I've fished 4 power Dobyns rods for frogs/toads in grass, I think many will recommend a stouter rod for that purpose.

Help Me Pick Dobyns
I don't throw spinnerbaits and cranks on the same stick so I use a Dobyns graphite 705CB for shallow and med cranks. I hear lots of folks that like the 705 Glass for exactly what you mentioned, but I don't have any experience with the glass model.

2012 Roadtrip! Be There!
G-ville experts -- any guesses as to what we can expect regarding how thick/tall the grass will be, as well as "normal" water clarity at the time of the road trip? Doing a bit of an inventory now and I wanted to make sure my line selection will be appropriate.

Not sure how the Jets go from considering rid of Sanchez to keeping Sanchez AND adding Tebow. As a Giants fan, I'm smiling

Did any of them come on the Cardiff I sold you? If so, I get the name of the lake, right?

Best Rod Length And Action For Shadlicious Swimbait
Depends on how big a Shadalicious you're throwing. I think a standard 7' MH/F rod would be fine for the 4.5", but you would likely want to step up to a 7' H/F for the 5.5" and 6.5"

Anyone Else Having Issues Logging Onto Humminbird Site?
Hey guys, For any of you guys with Humminbird online support accounts, has anyone experienced issues getting onto the site lately? I just went out there to get the newest software and noticed that they changed to a new portal but my old password won't work, and the "contact customer service" hasn't yielded any results yet.

Fishing Beds You Can't See
Use a reaction bait first to see if you can get them to show you where they're coming from. Then pick that area apart with slower baits.

Tornado Check In
Everything's all good in my immediate area. It sounds like a twister touched down a bit north and west of us, which is more in Randall's general direction. Hopefully he'll chime in here too. Thanks for the concern.

Humminbird News Fyi
Crap -- I was really hoping for above-water imaging. I think there's a huge market for this. Imagine how productive your fishing would be if the fisherman could also see ABOVE the water!

Jig Setup
Zillion TDZLN100SHA (7:1 ratio) on Zillion 7' MH rod w/ 15 lb Trilene 100% fluoro I had zero confidence in jigs until I started throwing them on this rig. I always hear that a few Loomis models are the "standard" for jig fishing, and while I've never tried them, they must be phenomenal if they're better than the Zillion rod. I absolutely love this combo!
