  1. If they are eating it that good you can speed it up anyway.
  2. I hear ya, just handle them the best you can and quick release.
  3. The one on the inside sucks if it got him bad, but at least he ate it good. The outside one he just slapped at it and you stuck him. Common id say.
  4. Outside or inside?
  5. Fluke jr does well in cold water.
  6. I use both DJs and Sieberts. They are both fantastic.
  7. I fished a tourney at Millsoboro pond today in DE and tanked horribly. There was a 6 and 7lber caught but not much else. A few pike, crappie, and yellow perch on jerk baits. Not what i expected for 58 to 60 degree water. Disappointed for sure.
  8. Better night bite is about all I notice. The thread is hella funny though.
  9. Maybe punch it...1oz tungsten and a sleek trailer. If you get it through you can cover every sq ft.
  10. Maybe just the broads lol
  11. Back of a chatterbait, or rage blade. Aaron Martens proved it can be the difference.
  12. Good lookin bait. DJs makes so many good ones too. I really like LC Crack and Spot remover.
  13. Fo sho, it really gets in and out of some tight spots easily. It in any weight its the go to for me. So many options with line, jig, trailer, rod, and how you catch fish on it.
  14. I have been fishing swim jigs around grass a ton the last 2 seasons and have had great success with 14lb FC. 0 break offs and caught many. I can easily see the case for 30lb braid, but I like the invisibility of FC. I dont have the need for 40 or 50lb braid but my cover is moderate. The rod I use is a LTB sweeper spinnerbait rod. It had enough tip to let them really get it good, and plenty back bone to put pressure on if needed. GL
  15. Lol, nothing matters but the post season now. A typical choke point for us
  16. X2 it feels bad and makes no sense to me
  17. "If" i have a twist issue i just tie a good size swivel on and hook it to the fence then walk it out. When reeling it back on stop periodically and shake the rod tip so the swivel can do its job. Removes all twist if you cant wait til you are on a boat
  18. Take off the vanish and place in the trash. Start over with another line. Vanish is trash imho.
  19. The Dena! Nice. Born and raised bro
  20. The big thing for me with a local shop is the experience. Its should be like Cheers when you walk in. If you are any sort of regular they should know your name and the 1st minute or two you walk in should leave you smiling as you get what you need. Hanging with a customer going over new products and bull shittin is case by case. Some guys just want to get in and get out. I worked a local shop in my 20s and it was the most fun you can have at work. I made sure to know my customers, and get a few laughs after they come through the door. If the staff sucks, and the prices are crazy there are just too many other options. If its like Cheers when you walk in, and you spend 45 min longer than you had going in bc you are BSin and carrying on with the guys then I am paying what they are asking.
  21. 2 weeks ago it had ice in the coves. I am sure its fishable now
  22. Nothing wrong with the safe play. If it comes down to it just order a new bearing and install.
