  1. I am anxious to see these rods as well. It seems like the $100-$200 price range for rods is becoming very highly competitive. I will definitely be giving these new Loomis rods a shot... I also see the rods are manufactured in the USA and come with the Loomis life time warranty, very nice...
  2. I remember when this all came up a few years back when Lews first started making their comeback. I thought this story had been put to rest...lol
  3. Then I would go with a MH/F or MH/XF, but the H/XF would be ok if that is all they have, but I am not sure how it would handle 1/4oz jigs.
  4. Don't use a chatterbait, but as far as the other 2 go: Spinner Bait, Tautla 7' 2" MH/R, 12lbs fluorocarbon and a Tatula Type-R in 8.1:1 and Swim Jigs, Tatula 7' 2" MH/R, 10lbs fluorocarbon and a Tatula Type-R in 8.1:1
  5. Depends on how heavy of a jig you are using and the type of cover you are throwing into.
  6. North Star spinner bait all white burner....9.75lbs
  7. I really like Berkley Chigger Craws and Chigger Chunks. Rage Tail products are also great. I am anxious to try out the new Reaction Innovations Twerk. It looks really good...
  8. In my opinion it is all preference and what you are comfortable with. I prefer fluorocarbon over braid, but my brother prefers braid and so does my wife. Neither one of them liked fluorocarbon...
  9. Jigs, plastics, spinner baits, top water.... Pretty much everything for me except for crank baits.
  10. Welcome to the forums... I would get a good plastics and jig rod. I would definitely look at the *** *** Black rods. They are amazing rods for the price point. For the reel you can't go wrong with the BPS Pro Qualifier reel for $50.00..... But there are a lot of great rods in the $100 price range... For the reel Tatula, Curado, ***, Lews etc.... It is going to be all preference on how much you want to spend and what feels good to you, because what feels good to me may not to you...
  11. Can't really go wrong with any of those 3 brands. I don't believe Shimano participates. For St Croix rods I would go with either the Mojo or Premiere. They are both really good rods and you can't go wrong with either one.
  12. Daiwa Samurai braid... But I also like Power Pro Slick 8 as well.
  13. It kind of sounds like that you have the one-way needle bearing pushed in a little to far and it is binding up the reel.
  14. Rod Glove rod and reel covers is all I use.
  15. The biggest question is who is going to drive the 24 car in 2016?? The one not to like well that is easy Brad Keselowski and as far as the biggest whiner they all whine/complain to some point.
  16. I am smoking some brisket, ribs and pulled pork...as long as the weather in the mid-west continues to play nice...lol and go PATS....
  17. North Star Baits Original Swim Jig in 5/16oz is my favorite jig to use. But I also love their Black Football, Black Series and their new Southpaw jigs in 3/8 to 1//2oz....
  18. Inviz-x and Abraz-x are two of my favorites. I also like the BPS fluorocarbon.
  19. I have fished both the *** *** Black and Daiwa Tatula rods and in my opinion the Tatula rod is a much better rod. Better quality, better components and better sensitivity.
  20. I use Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers, GYCB Swim Senkos and single tail grubs.
  21. I use the Rod Glove ones...
  22. I have both and use both...but I prefer the Type-R and the 8.1:1 ratio....
  23. They are a great swim jig trailer...
  24. For me it would be a swim jig...
