  1. Anyone else notice the price increase at digitaka? Daiwa reels have definitely gone up. I can’t remember prices of other brands, does anyone know if they’ve gone up as well?
  2. Anyone notice that digitaka has increased their prices on Daiwa reels? Not sure about others, but Daiwa has gone up.
  3. Glad you got everything sorted out. I missed everyone! I started to worry it was something on my end that was keeping me off the site. Anyways, glad it’s back! Big thanks to everyone for their hard work!
  4. Dang. It had been sitting at 160 for quite some time. 157 is still good regardless.
  5. This looks pretty cool. Thanks for posting about it. Is it heavy enough to cast on a regular bait caster worm rod? Or do you need spinning/bfs?
  6. Thanks. I appreciate you looking into it. maybe I should sign up with one of my other email addresses?
  7. Thanks! By torque under load, do you mean it’s easier to reel in fish with the zillion hd?
  8. Love the mag speed worm too!
  9. Same here actually. I was not notified of this giveaway. Last giveaway I was notified about was the Plano box giveaway. @Glenn
  10. Just curious, but what makes this better than the steez? That’s a nice swim bait. What is it?
  11. What brand/model is that?
  12. I love those! I lost my last one a couple years ago. Wish I could find that color for sale again!
  13. Sweet! Thanks for the opportunity, Glenn!
  14. East or west coast?
  15. Thank you! That’s all great information! I just wanted to clarify my question wasn’t meant to be solely about bed fishing. In any case, it seems the beds I can see are all empty. Even after I’ve been sitting around for a bit. Do you think they might be done spawning by now?
  16. I have another question for my fellow South Floridians and particularly @Mike L I fish a natural “lake” here in southwest Florida that has largemouth and peacock bass as well as the other usual local species. The water is usually very stained/silty and there’s lots of submerged vegetation. For whatever reason, the lake is extremely clear right now and vegetation is sparse. I’m seeing dozens and dozens of beds right now. It’s bank access only, so I can’t tell what fish are on the beds. Most seem empty but I’ve noticed big tilapia on some of them. My question is, would this indicate the bass are done spawning? Also, how would the bass behave now that the water is so clear compared to how it usually is? I really like fishing jerkbaits but I hardly ever do because of all of the submerged vegetation where I fish. With how clear the water is and how sparse the vegetation is right now, I’m thinking I should try a jerk bait. What other baits would be good to throw? I think this is a good opportunity to fish some stuff I don’t use very often, but I’m also wondering if the water clarity difference might turn the fish off.
  17. I really like my older Lews. They’re quite small. To all of you saying steez ct, how much smaller is the steez ct compared to the steez a2? I’ve never held a ct in person but it looks remarkably similar to the a2 in pictures.
  18. I love the zoom ol monster, though I’ll admit I haven’t used many different types of big worms. Lots of good suggestions in this thread. I’m definitely going to be adding some to my “must try” list.
  19. I see plenty of people say the steez A II can handle down to 3/8 and some even 1/4 oz perfectly well. I know a lot of saltwater anglers that use them for 7 gram (1/4oz) baits. I think Ben is generally correct, but it’s also not a hard and fast rule as far as weights go.
  20. I’ve never tried a trick worm as a bladed jig trailer. I’ll have to give it a shot! Thanks for the tip, OP!
  21. Interesting. I’m curious to see what you all think about them, especially compared to the jack hammer.
  22. Fishing reels are itemized in the HTS so it does not apply to them. That’s true, but It’s a separate matter. The shipper (dhl for example) can charge you a processing/handling fee but that’s not the same as a tariff. I have seen other times where people were charged the wrong tariff rate because an item was classified improperly or customs mistakenly charges the wrong rate.
