Woah! The steez a II reel went from $650 to $750! Sheesh! The steez AGS rod went from $669.99 to $599.99 so not quite as cheap as they used to be but definitely more reasonable! The steez AGS rod used to be $549.99. Edit to add: it appears JDM prices are unaffected as of right now, so that’s a big sigh of relief!

Is this line a big upgrade from tatsu?

Really? Interesting. I heard a rumor that if sales of the steez AGS were bad with the new prices they would be discontinued. Hopefully Daiwa US realized $669.99 for the steez AGS is too much. It would be awesome if they went back to $549.99. Any chance you could share where you’re getting this info from?

My apologies. That reel in your original post (17 steez) looks identical to a steez A. It’s hard to tell which frame is which from pictures. Edit I think you might be confusing models. I see the 2016 steez is the magnesium sv The 2017 steez is the aluminum A model. They both appear to have the same body style, right? That’s what I meant. The shape. I should have said body instead of frame.
