Red in murky water?
Neat. That’s an interesting combo for water that clear.

Anyone had bad experiences with the release button on Daiwa casting reels sticking or generally not lasting long in between cleanings?
Gotcha. It looked metal in the pic for some reason.

Is It Worth Putting U-40 Cork Seal On Expensive Rods?
This was going to be my question. I’ve never used cork sealer and I have rods that are 15 years old and still holding up fine. I definitely wouldn’t want to change the feel of cork with sealer. What do you use instead? Does it change the feel of the cork?

KastKing Mg-Ti Elite First Thoughts
Cool. Thanks for sharing. I’m wondering the same thing @Micro Module Police is. How long will the smoothness last. It’ll be interesting to see how it holds up in the long run. Seems like kastking has been gaining popularity lately.

Red in murky water?
I like that. I stick to chartreuse in muddy water but it sounds like I’ll have to give red a shot too.

Giant LMB
Ah, good point! I forget what the weight range is, but isn’t it true that a bass over a certain weight is almost always a female?

Fishing sunglasses suggestions
I love my Oakley prizm h2o polarized sunglasses. I really like the tint. They’re great in bright sunlight but they aren’t too dark for when it’s overcast or the beginning of dusk. I also really like the fact that they’re impact rated. You never know when a bass is gonna spit your bait at the last second and send it flying back at you!

Giant LMB
That’s what makes it so weird that my biggest fish came from NY and not FL. Maybe he was on vacation?

Z-Man Big Blade
Ohh I like that. That would be great for when the vegetation is only a couple inches from the surface. Maybe even in place of a wake bait in open water.

Digitaka currency exchange rate incorrect.
Thanks! I appreciate the insight. I figured it was something along those lines. I was just curious as to what exactly was going on behind the scenes.

Z-Man Big Blade
The darting action also happens on jack hammers if you give your reel a quick crank every now and then during the retrieve. It’s how I trigger a majority of bites when fishing it. Sounds like the big blade does it more extreme. Also the fact that it comes to the surface sounds like it would work well in situations where you want it just below the surface. I wonder if you could keep it right below the surface and create a wake with it.

Digitaka currency exchange rate incorrect.
Yes I know it changes constantly which is why digitaka’s prices fluctuate daily. I was just curious why they state the exchange rate at a lower rate than what markets currently show. Also, I’m not implying any malicious intent on digitakas part. I was just curious if they were perhaps charging a fee for doing the currency exchange for you or something similar.

Digitaka currency exchange rate incorrect.
I think you did your math wrong. The difference between 150 yen and 157 yen is around 5 cents per single dollar.

Digitaka currency exchange rate incorrect.
I just noticed on Digitaka when checking out they state the exchange rate is 1 US Dollar = 150.14 Japanese Yen. The current exchange rate is actually 1 US dollar = 157.46 Japanese Yen. If they used the correct exchange rate, it would obviously make items cheaper. Is there a reason they don’t use the correct exchange rate?
