  1. People will call me crazy for flipping and pitching and even punching with 25lb tatsu FC instead of braid, but I just can’t get over the lack of sensitivity braid has with a semi slack line. I can feel fish much easier with FC and I think 25lb is plenty, even here in Florida.
  2. I believe the wrench doesn’t actually adjust anything on the sv tw. It’s to remove the cap only iirc.
  3. I’m similar to you. I use FC on all but 2 of my casting rods. Braid on my frog rod and mono on my small top water rod. I use 25lb tatsu on my flipping rig. I’m sure a lot of people would call me crazy, but I love the slack line sensitivity for bottom contact baits. What do you use for frogs/topwater? You use FC for flipping too?
  4. I found this with some of my chatterbaits. I did some googling but can’t find anything. Most likely was bought some time around 2015. This is the line tie. I’m wondering if a split ring is missing.
  5. Can’t wait to see the new one. I’m still trying to get my hands on the original version.
  6. You talking swimming a white jig or fishing it on the bottom like a traditional jig?
  7. Even on the high end steez a2 model? @Delaware Valley Tackle would the hard pressed washer make it a bad idea to not loosen the drag after every session, or is it as durable in that regard as a carbon washer?
  8. I gotta say, I kinda want one. Just because it’s different.
  9. Thank you! I was mistaken. I guess I was talking about the hot craw? Whichever one is the at the top. This one: That one does look similar to bama craw. Thanks again for posting the comparison!
  10. That doesn’t say what the bubble blades purpose is, unless my reading comprehension has failed me.
  11. Gotcha! I know this is asking a lot, but is there any chance you could post a pic of the two (blaze craw, bama craw) next to eachother?
  12. Is the daiwa drag not sufficient? What makes upgrading worth it?
  13. Yeah I noticed about 2 seconds after I posted the question. Whoops!
  14. Sorry to hijack the thread, but what does the bubble blade do that the standard blade doesn’t? Thanks!
  15. Blaze craw looks similar to bama craw, right? I have a bunch of bama craw jigs from you and love them.
  16. Anyone have a link to the new siebert Megalodon?
  17. Gotcha. Thanks! Were you losing fish and lures with FC due to snags? Were you losing fish because they would wrap you up in vegetation?
  18. Thank you! To clarify, are you saying that invizx has more stretch than tatsu?
  19. Thanks! I assume most if not all modern reels use carbon drags, right?
  20. Very cool! Does it get in the way at all while fishing?
  21. Thank you! That’s good to know! I did find great deals on tatsu on Amazon. Almost too good to be true prices for 1000yd spools. As far as sniper, are you saying that tatsu has better abrasion resistance than sniper?
  22. @bulldog1935 what is that hook keeper in the bottom picture?
  23. Do any reels have metal thumb bars? I assumed they were all plastic.
  24. I’ve never heard of doing this. Here in Florida we don’t have an “off” season. We can fish year round. I’d be really interested to hear @Delaware Valley Tackletake on this since he repairs reels for a living. Personally I would expect modern reels not to need it, but I could be wrong. Does it make a difference if it’s casting or spinning reels?
