  1. Totally agree and I do a super light coat. SC and Loomis stay the same. Daiwa, Megabass, and others change. SC and G. Loomis also have the best cork. Doesn't bother me either way.
  2. A very light coat of U40 and you will be good to go. Been using for years and I am only on my second container. Product lasts a long time.
  3. I think I mostly use 6.2 and love fishing small cranks on spinning gear. Spinning reels are slower than most bait casters so it works great. Small cranks after dark in shallow water is one of the most productive fishing options on our lake in the summer.
  4. I'm not sure about you guys but I do not like rod jackets. Seem rough on guides pulling pulling them on and off.
  5. Agree, gen 2 is awesome. Personal best of several species on this rod. Always on deck. Been fishing it for years.
  6. Yes, they are awesome. Still fish one regularly in 6'-10" M. Get it!
  7. From what I have seen all stores are getting certain sizes and quantities in of certain models at all different times. This is with other brands as well. Its not tackle shops fault by any means.
  8. The pros for multiple rods - having options all rigged and ready. Down side of too many setups and gear - messing with all your gear when you want to have a bait in the water. I love to downsize and simplify. I only fish with 1-3 setups depending on how much time I have. I do not tourney fish. I fish for fun and like to hike and bushwhack to spots and bringing an array of combos is not an option.
  9. I think PSA makes a nice gun. Been looking at those too. I have an AR from them and no complaints at all.
  10. Those are great builds. Does he have a site?
  11. Hey guys, anyone shooting these and liking them? Post some pics!
  12. high end of your budget - GLX, Destoyer can be had with a discount for around $400 medium - Shimano expride, Orochi XX low - zodias, Daiwa tatula, St. Croix Victory
  13. ronin is a great rod for fishing smaller jerkbaits. I owned the rod from the original series and the new and the new series is more powerful for 110 baits. The original was on the lighter side.
  14. spiderman baitcaster with integrated reel. I use the line that came with the combo.
  15. Favorite for me is 6'-10" - 7'-1" in Medium / Fast. I like to fish jerkbaits with rod movement to the side and not snapping the rod up and down. Longer rods get these baits out there farther and can set that hook!
  16. The ML is a nice drop shot, ned, smaller baits rod. Its also nice that its fast action and not XF. The medium is a nice 'all purpose' spinner. I'd prefer jerkbaits, topwater, grubs for that one. If you want a really fun light power rod check out the 7' light +if you can find one.
  17. Rapala clackin rap....that didn't leak lol
  18. Not trying to make you feel bad but the 842S conquest is a killer rod. The 852S is nice too but that fast action and power for a Loomis M was one of a kind in the conquest. They both are great tools for different things but the conquest was one of my favorites. I ended up selling a while back and shouldn't have.....Maybe I'm the one that feels bad
  19. The new SC legend that is coming out in March. They have several cranking options and a few in glass too.
  20. I'm sure you'll be fine. I had a few with sloppy workmanship but nothing that was too major. They have a great warranty.
  21. If cork is sealed with U40 its not non cork. You can magic eraser it off if you don't like it. U40 is one of my favorite fishing products. One very light application and you are golden.
  22. Cork! you can clean it, fix it, and love the feel. EVA isn't bad but don't prefer the feel or when a large piece is taken out by a hook. Winn....no thanks.
  23. Daiwa and Megabass are above the rest in my opinion. Shimano in the middle. The worst 'in my opinion' G. Loomis and Dobyns from ones I have seen or owned
