  1. NRX - great rod and warranty. Steez is also awesome! Have both and regret neither.
  2. What about the Kast King computer reel? What if you had the latest software?
  3. I will never fish a fraction of what is here to fish.
  4. 15 bass on the same senko last weekend wacky rigged
  5. Daiwa Ballistic MQ is a nice reel too. Not sure if anyone has tried that one yet but I prefer it over tatula.
  6. I think what impresses me the most about SC is the array of rods they have. Their rod builds are great and the choices you have for every type of fishing are almost overwhelming. I'm sure it would be hard to knock every design and construction out of the park consistently....especially if you have new employees.
  7. Will do! Appreciate you letting me know about them.
  8. Very nice! Love the Bible verse and fish on the bottom. Great touch!
  9. Well look at that! I might need to pick one up then. They use to be XF I think. Appreciate it
  10. Oh no. Just bought like 6 St. Croix rods recently. I'll put them through the paces and see what happens. Always had great luck with their sticks. St. Croix it still top notch in my book. All companies had to make some changes the last few years and deal with some different struggles. I'm sure they are working on it the best they can.
  11. I would go with a Shimano Teramar 7'-0" - 7'-6" in Medium or MH. A Shimano Miravel 3000 and 15 lb braid. Great combo in your price range. Great lure options Mirrolure plugs Rapala xrap spoons - silver and gold grubs - 4" swimbaits - 4"
  12. Isn't one extra fast and the other fast?
  13. Another vote on Aruku or Jackall TN. They are just killer here in MI.
  14. Add a stinger hook similar to what Mick pictured or add another lower on the bait. Also don't crank down the drag and add a shock leader if you haven't. Sometimes it just happens.
  15. Love fishing jerkbaits at all times of the yr. I never fish jerkbaits like KVD. I like to cast, wind down, and jerk to the side. I used a spinning rod and I feel this doesn't wear you out. Another option is pulling or ripping the bait a little slower and pausing. No need to snap the rod like a wild man. 30-50 fish days in the summer tells me they like it just fine You can also fish a longer jerkbait rod this way = longer casts.
  16. Nice gun for sure. I've looked at those a couple times but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Great deal and PSA makes a nice product.
  17. I love their rods too! Great company.
  18. That is exactly how I grip a spinner. I don't believe it's a quality control issue by the manufacturer but just how I grip it that causes the nut to loosen. I'll have to try the tape option. Thank you!
  19. Hey guys, they way I hold a spinning rod results in a loose locking nut after 10 casts or fighting a few fish. I have seen plumbers tape suggested before yrs back. Does that work for the threads? How many wraps? Any other ideas? Thanks!!
  20. Any Shimano reel for $121 is a good deal. Buy it.
  21. I fished one and its a great all around spinner. I think the ML is a great rod for light stuff like drop shot, neds, and the M was a better popper, worms, jerkbait rod. Its not a super stiff rod. I found it just right.
  22. What happens when you dunk that and will it cause a fire?
  23. what item?
