I don't use a swivel or snap. If I have a problem with line twist I take a bucket of water and strip the line off my reel into the bucket and reel it back up while pinching the line between my fingers to keep it from twisting. The bucket of water is to make sure the line doesn't tangle.

Done that with a .308 and 300 win mag rounds. I felt like an idiot.

Once I drove 1 hour 45 minutes to a lake with my canoe in the back of my truck. I had planned this trip for a week. I had never fished this lake before but I heard great things about it. Got there and put the canoe in the water, unloaded all my gear, pushed it off and jumped in only to realize I didn't bring my paddle. Yea, no paddle. So had to pack up everything and talked to a local to find the nearest walmart and bought a cheap paddle. Wasted 3 hours getting there and back cause the directions were not that great. Now I make a check list.

I know how you feel. The company I work for now uses temps and if they are still showing up after a month they hire them. They use to ask full time employees who worked with the temp if they should be hired. Now they don't even bother. If the person shows up for work most of the time that is good enough. And the company wonders why mistakes are up and production is down.

If you wanna end this problem I suggest Astroturf or just pour concrete over the backyard and paint it green. As far as when its too early to mow the lawn, what do I know. I live in a town where I swear nobody owns a car with a muffler. I got one neighbor who is a tractor trailer driver and brings his work home with him. I got another neighbor who likes to sing 80's tunes on his front porch at 4am. What I need is earplugs and a shot of NyQuil.

I wish I could do that. My cable company just jacked up my bill another 10 bucks a month. Last time they did that I cancelled my phone service with them. Didn't really need a land line anyway. Now I'm thinking about switching my cable internet to DSL just to punish the greedy youknowwhats. But I need my tv cause with 5 months of cold weather I think I would go stir crazy without it.

In Pennsylvania the law use to be that bass season started in mid june but walleye/pike/musky season opened early may. I would go out in may and when I was stopped by the guppy cops and they asked what I was fishing for I would tell them pike or musky. Only once did they question the lure I was using (bass type spinner bait). I told him I caught 3 pike on it so far and I'm not gonna change it. I'm so glad PA got smart and opened the season all year round. We still have some restrictions in some areas but its better than the way it use to be. What are the laws regarding bass season in NY state? I heard they, at one time, had some lakes you could fish for bass year round and some lakes you could not. Did they go to a state-wide open season?

I wish I had slow days like that. My local lake is filled with 1 pound, 11 inch bass. Even in spring you are more likely to catch a little bass. You got to work hard to catch one over a pound.

I've been mulling over buying one of those Live Target sunfish. The 3" version. My only problem is a lot of lakes I fish have pike/pickerel in them. Anybody know if these baits get tore up by toothy fish easy? I know my frogs don't last very long after hooking a few nice size pike on them. They start looking like sushi after a couple trips.

From what I understand its a standard procedure nowadays. I work with a guy who had 2 knees replaced and he walks like you wouldn't know it. Main thing is you gotta rehab the knee. Take your time getting better and exercise. If its makes you feel better, my friend told me he liked spending time in the pool doing his exercises.

I agree. Many mornings I came home and wanted to kick the dog, thankfully I didn't have a dog at the time.
