  1. Good to have you back in the game @Oregon Native
  2. Just because a Waterways Conservation Officer tells you something doesn't mean its true. Remember WCO's mostly deal with rules and regulations enforcement. They are not experts in weights, measurements or even fishing in general. Even when it comes to rules they can be wrong. That's why every person who gets a ticket gets to go to court if they choose to. WCO's are people, just like me or you. They can make mistakes just like all of us.
  3. Wait till you see the Walmart/Larry's Large and Tall catalog. Its got a 8 page centerfold!
  4. I'd still be fishing if we had water temps in the 50's here in northeastern PA. At last check the water temps were in the mid 40's. Our night time/early morning temps are in the 30's. Combine that with the excessive rain making the river fishing impossible without a boat and this has been the worst fall I've ever seen.
  5. 2nd half didn't go as good as 1st half. Sad. I was rooting for them, really I root for any team that plays the Pats.
  6. Crab.….that is all.
  7. First I dial in on lure size and then might change color. Size can be a big factor in the quality/quantity of fish you catch. Most of the time if I change color its only because I ran out of the other color I was using.
  8. I know when I was a kid we use to put a swivel up the line from a Original Rapala Floater and put a weight in front of the swivel just to get it down further.
  9. The Cleveland Browns just dropped both shoes by firing the head coach Hue Jackson and OC Todd Haley. The Browns are back on the head coaching carousel.
  10. Jackall Crosstail Shads work for me as well. Haven't tried the Half Shell.
  11. I've tried both and for me the Dream Shot in Dirt is the bait that caught fish. I had no luck with the roboworm. Still have 3 packs of them.
  12. The problem with crappie fishing from shore where I fish is that the good spots always have people camped there. They'll bring a couple of folding chairs, a cooler, a grill and a radio and be there all day. That is why I'm glad I have a canoe. It gets me where I want to go with just a little bit of paddle power.
  13. Fortunately the OP didn't order the boat and pay ahead of time. Not sure what the protocol would be if this problem showed up on an ordered boat. Could you turn down a boat with the same problem the OP saw? Wonder what the legal obligations would be on the part of BPS or Tracker?
  14. That is sleek looking. I also like the one-motion handle for when you have the other hand full of rods and tackle.
  15. Maryland has taken a decidedly "nanny-state" turn in the last decade. Expect to hear something about bubble wrap and personal safety soon.
  16. Last time I was in the keys I saw people fishing on the defuncted Seven Mile railroad bridge. I was tempted to try it myself but decided just to get to Key West for some drinking and carousing.
  17. I've been starting to feel the depression set in for that last 2 weeks. I've pulled out some of my tackle trays and have been scanning the web for tackle deals. Yup, its over for this year.
  18. And that is why I didn't win the MegaMillions.
  19. Am I the only one that's hungry for cupcakes now?
  20. Naw...he's just replacing the porta-john that was on the bow so its more of an upgrade. ?
  21. Susquehanna...come on. We all know there ain't no fish in that muddy creek.
  22. @Quarry Man I just saw your post and although I can't answer your question if you go to a good gunshop that sells or specializes in Class 3 firearms they can give you good info on it. They will let you know about the age restrictions. Just from what I know, to make a SBR you need to submit a form to the ATF and buy a stamp for $200.
  23. My opinion would be to use inline spinners (the size used for trout) rebel wee craws and, if those 2 didn't work, the ned rig. Keep your gear light and use 6# line.
  24. I think if you give more info on where you live, your current temps and what creek you are fishing some of the forum member will be able to help you with your question.
