  1. Kudos for the Foghat reference. Filmed one near Harrisburg on the Susquehanna.
  2. sigh Here we go again.
  3. Surprised he wasn't run over by a bus.
  4. Our temps here are dropping quickly from 80's yesterday to a high in the mid 50's tomorrow. That combined with the rain we got yesterday and today makes the lake muddy and cold. The temps are suppose to stay in the 50's to lows in the mid 30's. That will shut down the largemouths and the smallmouths in the river are flooded.
  5. Feeling the 2018 season is just about over for me too. With the temps, rain and starting a new job its time to start looking forward to 2019 spring. Might get out once or twice more but I doubt it. Lake fishing is over and river is too high to even think about fishing it.
  6. I'd like to know how you do that. My friend has tried with a trailer hook and the hook always comes back dragging 5 pounds of weeds. Does your trailer hook have a shorter shank or weed guard?
  7. I always use a trailer on my spinner baits and never a trailer hook mostly because where I fish is choked with weeds and a trailer hook would just get constantly fouled. As for what I use, that is a long list. A 3 inch Zoom Fat Albert Grub, a 4 inch Kalin's Lunker Grub, a 3.8 Keitech Swing Impact Fat boot tail swimbait, 4 inch Yamamoto Zako swimbait, Strike King Rage Tail Craw and Rage Tail Menace and Big Bite Baits 4 inch Finesse Grub. Also I have a couple of boxes of discontinued grubs that I use at random.
  8. I use 22 or 24 gauge wire bought at Walmart. I even got a gold color but you can get black, brown and green as well.
  9. Only one way out of this situation..... a sincere apology and Consider it $55,000 worth of peace.

Not sure but I think its a dude.
  11. At least 2 marriages!
  12. Some idiot was keeping a pet alligator in a pond not to far from the Susquehanna River a couple years ago. Sure they won't survive the winter but they will scare the youknowwhat out of you until then. It just amazes me how unconcerned some people can be about other peoples safety. Some people claim its a "pet" but you have a responsibility to others in the community to not keep "pets" that can endanger others if loose.
  13. Anywhere along the Tennessee River would be good. Watts Bar, Chickamauga, Nickajack, Guntersville, Wheeler, Wilson, Pickwick and Kentucky Lake. I've never fished any of these lakes but all are stops on major tournament fishing trails.
  14. Sure you can. I do it all the time. I once turned down Heather Locklear's invitation to go to the prom. She never asked but I was busy that day and couldn't go. ?
  15. But is it good for the game to have the outcome decided by penalties? And how can a player not land on a QB with his full body weight and how can a referee know that he did or didn't do that? They are asking too much of the defensive line to be able to control contact while taking down a QB and making referees decide something that is impossible to decide. There is no way to protect players in a contact sport from getting hurt. The QB could be running out of bounds and hurt his knee.
  16. Roughing the passer penalties for sacking the QB are ruining this game. Penalizing teams for having a good defensive line is a joke. Soon they'll be playing flag football.

That is one way to prove Darwin correct.
  18. Don't forget spring Walmart sales. Some of the best bargains are there.
  19. I might try mold making for a discontinued lure I have.
  20. Good luck with the trout and with the treatments. I'm praying for you. Just remember that no matter how tough life gets, it does get better.

The 7mm is a really good hunting round. I know guys who have hunted for decades that are now switching to the 7mm round. They say the flat trajectory and power are the reasons for the switch.
  22. Take care of yourself @LadiMopar. Health is the most important thing we have.
  23. On a side note, if you take the wire end and attach a swivel and small willow leaf blade you could have a cheaper swimbait flash hook only without the weight on the hook. You might have to wrap the wire around the belly of the hook and bend it downward. As for the Tokyo rig itself, I can't be bothered with it. I already have more stuff than I need.

That 20 items or less sign seems to be ignored where I live. Should say 200 items or less. I've actually seen people with 2 cart-loads go through the self checkout line. You could hear the people behind them groan.
  25. Do we have to start a "Go Fund Me" page to buy you a net?
