I need desperate help and info around the Scranton region of Pennsylvania!!
Just saw your post @TheCrow1216. I can recommend Lake Lackawanna. Every year people pull out 5+ pounders out of there and it isn't that far from Scranton.

Phew!!!!
I try not to go near lakes, rivers or streams on Labor Day, Memorial Day or the 4th of July. Its amateur hour. But soon the best time of year will be on us. Fall is when the hunters head to the woods and I put on a flannel shirt and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Starting a High School Fishing Team
I agree with @NHBull. Not likely a school would buy a boat. School sports expenses are offset a little by ticket sales, concession sales, and parents buying equipment. Those are the common sports like baseball, football and basketball. I'm afraid you might have to find sponsors and relatives to help fun the whole lot. Sorry to give you the bad news.

Yum Christie Craw
Never thought of that. Gotta give it a try. Thanks.

They are big and move a lot of water. Great for muddy water. I mostly use them t-rigged on a 3/0 wide gap hook.

Health/stress update
I know that it seems like things are getting worse but try to take things in stride. Take time to think about what you have good in your life. I believe you'll find more good than bad. I'm glad you are sharing what's going on. Too many people feel they can't talk about what is happening in their life. Praying for ya buddy.

Post a photo a day!
How? Teach me Sensei. I've been doing it for just 5 days and already I've fallen asleep at work twice and once was while my boss was talking to me. He pretended not to notice.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
You guys are killing me with all the fish pics. I'm down with a nagging case of tendonitis and early carpal tunnel in my casting hand. Hoping it clears up before the weather changes to fall. If not I'm chopping off the hand at the wrist and ducktaping a pair of salad tongs on so I can at least reel with it and I'll finally have some use for the salad tongs.

Finally got my ducks in a row. Wasn't easy. Just started night shift after 21 years of avoiding it. This is so true.

Ummm...so the recent floods took their toll on some of the docks at one of the state parks in my area.

Fantasy Fishing 2018
Agreed. That is a huge amount. Most tourneys that target largemouth don't get near that weight.

Tooth extraction
Had my last 2 wisdom teeth taken out 2 decades ago. Only upside was I woke up in the arms of a pretty dental hygienist. Pain was bad for 5 days. I recommend getting the rest done all at the same time if you can. Beats having to go through the pain over and over.

Fantasy Fishing 2018
My list is KVD, Feider, Lowan, JVD and Walker. The only one I was worried about was Walker.

New lake - how should I fish it?
Just my opinion, the bottom of this pic looks like a dam. Dams usually (but not always) mean deeper water. In the mornings and evenings bass like to come out of deep water and close to shore to feed. If I was fishing during these times I would start with a topwater lure parallel to the shore. You mentioned in your 1st post about lay downs. Those are good places to throw a lure, especially a jig or big worm. Don't just limit yourself to 1 lure. Explore and try different things. This place just might surprise you with its response.

Car enthusiast
I owned a '70 Mustang Coupe back in the late '80's. I loved that car. First car I ever did over 100 mph in and boy was it scary. Had a 351 Windsor engine with just a 2 barrel Autolite carb and 65k original miles. Conservatively rated at 250 hp. You always hear stories of guys buying cars from little, old ladies but this was the case with my Mustang. The woman who bought it originally was a school teacher in her 60's when she bought it. I asked her why she bought the car when she could have had one with less power. She said she liked the color.

Ranger Boat's Icon
There is no law that states that you have to have insurance on your boat, unlike your car. That is what I meant about that statement.
- Which Lew's beginner baitcaster?
-
Ranger Boat's Icon
And yet we have not even talked about insurance. For those who tournament fish I understand you must have it, others its a unnecessary but reassuring item. It must be more expensive for a boat that is $100k if boat insurance is anything like car insurance. What say you about this?

My Trophy Smallie
Trust me, a five pound smallie is something to brag about anywhere in the US and Canada. Congrats. Can't wait to see the photo of that big pig.

Spider Jig Suggestions
Try Arkie Salty Crawlin' Grubs. They are meatier than the Cabin Creek Spider Grubs. I like use them with lots of success.
